Moaning again?

Better believe it. Honestly, I have nothing to say when the Lakers play a bad game. As bad as they opened this one, they fought back. Who seemed to answer these Laker pushes? The refs. Are they blind?
These flagrants?
These technicals?
Touch fouls... and how many times did you see a blatant call with the official standing right there in the background?

This is one of the worst showings of officiating that I have ever seen in the NBA.

As Joel Meyers said.. The frustration continues.
How do you expect players to play when they can't get a whistle if their life depended on it.
OOps, excuse me.. they got whistles alright.. my bad.

Great showing by Phil, with that intentional technical foul in the closing minute of the fourth.

That's how you make a statement, because otherwise, it will just go down as another loss thanks to a poor showing by the Lakers.
Atta boy Phil.. let's just get 4th quarter lineups down next time

Every year the Lakers struggle, the coach must suck? Go figure.

As for the officiating, I agree, it was ugly. But, the Lakers are the ones who shot horribly in the 1st qtr and to end the 3rd and start the 4th. The referees weren't making bad calls during that time, when the lakers could have done something to play better ball. We got jacked with calls late in the game (a bunch of stupid techs, the offensive foul on Harris that they called on Odom and the tripping foul when Odom fell) but by that point, the Lakers were nearly out of reach anyway. The refs did kill momentum, which very easily could have been argued as a way to kill any chances the Lakers may have had.

As much as I didn't like the refs calls' today, I was more disgusted with our two droughts in the game. That's what did us in.

not this again. officiating has always been bad. When you lose, you just focus on it alot more.

We had our chances to win. Refs aint make us lose. Blame Phil for his subs. Blame Kobe for his horrible shooting. Blame Kwame for his zero effort and production..

He'll be rich, he already is. But the truth is pretty clear. Take that to Montana Phil and smoke it.

And admit it, it was entertaining watching Adrian Griffin repeatedly try to stay on Kobe's back for the full 8 seconds.

I don't care how tight or how loose they call it. I just want them consistant. Is that too much to ask?

I mean if you are going to call a touch foul, call the same on the other end. Then I can adjust my game. Know what I mean?

If you call it tight at the begining, call it tight at the end too. Don't not call a foul because there is only a couple of seconds left on the clock.

And why are most of these officials so old. Shouldn't younger officials have better reflexes and eye cordnation? Not to say they are doing a better job either.

Oh well, nothing new.

I know these threads have been common this season.. and we have seen badcalls frequently... but this game just completely took it to another level. I've seen every game this season, all the losses, all the wins.. and although I get frustrated when they lose, i've put blame where it's due. They definately didn't play their best game, but when you think about bad calls.. you can't just think about the immediate effect it has. It goes beyond that. Imagine.. you play an excellent defensive sequence.. and get called for a completely horsecrap foul.. sending the opposition to the line. Now think about the player.. you think he will play t hat aggressively the next time around? Or when you drive inside, get hacked and get no call.. outside of Kobe (not that he did it that much this game).. will anyone else keep attacking knowing there's a chance you won't get a call?
Bad officiating can have more than just the obvious influences on the game.. it alters mentality.

That said.. of course you expect some bad and missed calls.. but when they're coming at you constantly.. all night long..
it sucks away your will.

By the way.. i'm not downplaying the effects of Phil's rotations on this game.. but I'd rather just have that to worry about that then being whistled all night for absolutely nothing (or not being whistled for a blatant call).

I hope not, the Raiders sucked big time. I still think that if this team can get healthy, they can make the playoffs.

why do we always get the bitter end of calls? I just don't get it, we are not getting any breaks at all.

Kobe drives, Howard hacks him across the forearm, no call. Sasha taps the ball from behind, cleanly, foul called...FTs to the Mavs.

Kobe grabbed, hacked mercilessly no call. Kwame pushes Howard, flagrant called. Van Horn shoves Kobe, flagrant not called.

And that justifies the blatant non calls on Lamar and Smush not to mention the phantom Flagrants?

he should be leading the league in FTA by a LARGER margin if games are called fairly. Are you freaking blind or what?.

If that was the truth then sure.

But it isn't. The game I saw showed a laker team that was frustrated from allowing an early lead and having to continually play catch up.

This is probably how the media will report it.
I wasn't watching your game.

Pressed about the officiating after the game, Bryant was careful with his words, saying "Easy on my piggy bank."

The frustrated Lakers were called for four technical fouls, including a delay of game when coach Phil Jackson purposely kept them in the huddle after a timeout. There were also two flagrant fouls.

"It was a poorly refereed game," Jackson said.
