And JC can be the Klay?!
We're almost there to being the 99cent Store version of the Dubs! |
Ingram = Klay
JC = Barbosa
...if forced to make that comparison. |

Too late. Should have asked that of Mitch before he went and brought in Luke. |

Don't be surprised if Sixers take Ingram with 1st pick because of his advanced jump shot & defensive play already to pair with Okafor.
So we & Ben gets the Lakers anyway, it's a no lose situation except we'll have to wait for Ben to commit more to improving his game with a jumper & defense.
I want Ingram to space the floor & have Russell set him up, but Simmons is athletic enough to get much better. Just gonna take him longer 2-3 yrs. Add a 3 pt. guy in free agency.
I JUST HOPE THEY KEEP THE PICK!!! _________________ My Laker squad.

Same thing happened when we hired Phil and everyone wanted to force us to become the next MJ-Pippen Bulls. This guy can be our Kukoc! That guy can be our Paxson! |

Lol Well, Phil did bring in Harper and Horace. And there were rumors he wanted to bring Scottie in too, iirc. It's only human nature to want to bring in guys who you're familiar with and fit your preferred style. |

Simmons is in a really complex spot. Some fans may welcome him "tanking" for Philly to maneuver his way to LA, but what if LA truthfully prefers Ingram? Would management and the fanbase sour on him? More importantly, if the team is on the fence with dealing the pick...does lowering his stock (sub-par interviews and workouts) lower the pick's value any?
Don't get me wrong, I love his skillset and hope like any other fan he gets a jumper and improves his D....but if his motivation is a question mark I'm not sure how this helps. If he lands in LA, I hope they can make the right moves around him and not take less value just to find a better fit. |

We'll never truly knows who Lakers prefer regardless of who we get.
My gut is they far prefer Simmons. As we usher in a new era of Laker basketball, Simmons is far easier to sell and has a much higher upside. |

Is the attitude about Simmons prima Donna attitude and sense of entitlement accurate?
I get that he has never had to go to certain parts of his game to get things done but in the nba his work ethic is going to really determine either or not he uses those transcendent physical skills into something useful. |
