You can see Julius too at the :13 sec mark.

Who'd have thought there were two future lakers in this vid?

Man I love that footage. The camera already loved DLO before he ever made it to the NBA...

Is that Booker behind DLO at the 9 second mark? Wonder who else is there.

Hopefully Clarkson takes this as a slight and it motivates him that much more. Clarkson has all-star potential, if he can learn to get back to a more balanced game and become the kind of defender his length/quickness/size projects him to be.
I agree about him being an all star, but Clarkson wanted to play for the Philippines. That's where his mom and family were born. They had to go through some things with FIBA.

I live in Eagle Rock, JC is a big deal here. It is really cool that he is playing for the Philippines, that country has been through a lot the last several years with the Typhoons. From what I have been told by my neighbors, the Lakers are huge there because there is such a large expat community in LA.
His work ethic is off the charts. You don't get drafted 46th and make 1st team all rookie without having great potential. I'm expecting a breakout 3rd year for Clarkson in Walton's ball movement system.

Clarkson is a slasher. He can be potentially be great in that role. The problem is he doesn't think the game at a high level and is an average to below average defender. Hence all the 1-1 stuff and lack of ball movement when he gets the ball in his hands. He needs to learn some of the nuances of the game.
Clarkson avg 15 pts and 5 ast last year as a starter. There was too many ball handlers on the team last year. The offense was different as well.

He he had to switch positions from SG, PG, SG with Russell and Randle getting benched. Even when he played PG he had to play alongside Kobe and Lou so he wasn't getting the ball back or many assist.

He had no big men that could roll to the rim like he had the year before with Davis, Black, and Hill. Lin and Wayne spaced the floor. This year Russell is the only player that could provide spacing for Clarkson and he was inconsistent at times shooting.

Are there seriously people mad that JC isn't on the team..?

He's a member of the Phillipines. Whether he chooses to represent them or not due to his free agency, that's his choice. But he's a member of the Phillipines and that's why he's not on the US team.

Do you guys want Marcus Smart coming to our training camp and learning all our plays?

Would have thought this was already recognized.

Not bad. I'd swap out Hood for Booker and call it a day .

Oh goodness..I just have a feeling there will be numerous reports on how DLO doesn't work hard and he's a bit of a tool. I hope I'm wrong.

Nah... that's just emplay, who was just a mouthpiece for Byron.

If you want a non-slanderous perspective on his work ethic, just read his OSU stories about disrespecting players who didn't spend time in the gym.

So possibly another Laker participating. Interesting.

That is going to be a great experience for our young guns.

It should also impact us on free agency. If they do great they must catch the eye of some veterans, if they struggle we are toasted.

* Dlo should keep his IPhone home

No, it won't. Free Agency will be pretty much wrapped up by the time this takes place.

How crazy would it be if we had 3 players playing for USA Basketball in the near future (Randle, Russell, Ingram)?!
