KAT totally deserves it - had a phenomenal season. I look forward to watching his career (and will hope that he'll join the Lakers later in his career).
I watched only a handful of Minnesota games this year, but he was everything advertised and more, frankly. The 2015/2016 regular season was a great start to hopefully a long career for Towns ... and this is a well-deserved ROY award.
What a beast. Def the guy that was heads/shoulders above the class. Wish we could have got him but DLO is a great consolation prize. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
I was the biggest KAT fan long before most here recognized his potential. That being said, he's not on my team so I hope he struggles until Minny trades him to us and then he reverts to form

Wow. I'm willing to bet you a large sum that if there was a redraft, LA would STILL pick DLo. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel

I seriously doubt that.
DLO may end up being the best player from this draft for all we know, but at this specific point, I don't think the Lakers take him again with the 2nd pick. _________________ A banana is killed every time a terrible thread or post is made. Save the bananas. Stop creating terrible posts!

Dang -- when will GMS learn they should draft based only on how players will perform in their rookie season??!?!
Yet, those idiotic Warriors chose Stephen Curry when they could have had Tyreke Evans who was better in year 1! Idiots!

Not sure why you are upset with me, I didn't make the pick. Obviously the voters observed what I did last season vs. Whatever it was that the LG Experts thought they saw.
Getting picked 2nd and finishing 9th is not good...but feel free to spin away. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny

I don't doubt that which is why the franchise has been in the toilet for several years. If they could watch that entire season and still take Russell, then we are in for a lot more pain because that would not be smart at all. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny
Just shows you how much of a lottery it is, we were ecstatic to have jumped into the 2nd pick, yet the real prize was still out of reach. So close yet so far.

I was hoping the Timberwolves would pick Okafor lol.

Why does anyone need to be blamed for how sports writers vote? That is a pretty simplistic way of looking at things. Basing a draft on ROY voting? That is Dave20 type of logic. As for the ROY, I would have voted for Towns, anyone after him was just "we had to vote for somebody". None were noteworthy. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

It's amazing how we can project careers one year in.
I mean... He put up 18/10/2 as a 20 year old... Even if he literally never improved, that's already huge. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
