Perhaps it's because it's the Lakers ... the most glamorous and successful team in the history of the game. Also, because we have a young talented core; a decent chance to get Westbrook in a year and a ton of cap space. Any more questions? |

Simmons is going to tell Philly that he doesn't want to be there.. So I believe the Lakers get Ben Simmons.
Would you see if Ben could play the point, and move Russell to SG?

I think it is very likely that Philly takes Simmons. I am very very happy to get Ingram.
If they take Ingram, then Simmons is a great get for the Lakers.
So unless Mitch does something stupid like a trade involving the pick for a stiff like Carmelo Anthony, we should be good right?

You need a mix of young and old not just for talent, long term success, etc. but also just for salary cap reasons.
Getting Simmons or Ingram is just a fantastic get for the Lakers and worth the 17 win nightmare.
