I think that, overall, we're equally as attractive a franchise as the Wolves now

Luke is the big question mark, but our combination of young players PLUS the cap money/attraction makes us just as promising as the Timberwolves.

KAT>D'lo
JC= LaVine
Wiggins>JR
#2>#5

Fixed title.

I think this pick Simmons or Ingram can "potentially be on the level of what Towns is, and will become.

They have Towns/Wiggins/Lavine/the 5th pick...

We have...

This pick/DLO/Randle/Clarkson (or someone we get for him?)

I say we are in the hunt as a real "UPSIDE" team...

That's the kind of mentality that has kept the Lakers from getting any decent FA's. There's no lucrative any more as the other post mentions. This is a battle for survival and the Lakers are no longer that name with Dr. Buss behind the helm. Nobody is going to help the Lakers nobody, the only way to move up is to get assets, make trades for top stars or get lucky and land a top FA which is highly unlikely. Don't understand what some here are smoking.

Is there another meaning of the word I'm missing?

A little reality check. KAT is a BEAST and I would trade all our pups for him.

Pau took less money to go play for Thibs but that was in Chicago.

The Wolves were once one of the best teams in the WC and they still had trouble signing free agents.

If I was Minnesota though I'd try to get Thon Maker.

Rubio
Lavine
Wiggins
Maker
Towns

That's a terrifying combination of length and athleticism.

I'm just pointing out that we are more prosperous than the TWolves both financially and talent wise.

DLO will be the best player from his draft when it all said and done.

LaVine showed some real improvement on his shot this season. He has a strong work ethic. And now he's about to have Thibs beat some defense into him.

Not high on Wiggins. See him having a career similar to DeRozan. We can make that up with FAs. He looks passive at times as well. Towns can be one of the greats of his generation.

Wolves are ahead talent wise right now. But Lakers have the most money available for free agents, a franchise with a solid history of winning, not to mention a front office that has built a contender before, oh and that LA market which is very lucrative.
