basically, we got 5 players
randle, clarkson
dlo, nance and brown
do you think we drafted the right guys compared to what was still on the board?
personally, i've got no opinion of brown but i think mitch hit the ball out of the park with the other 4 picks. |

The only change I'd make is i'd take Okafor over Russell. Before the draft I wanted Okafor over Russell.
As is I'm more than happy with Russell. |

Pretty much what you said. We got the best player at all spots we picked, while the jury is still out on Brown. And yes, I'd still want Russell over Krispy Pork over the length of an NBA career. |

I wanted D'Lo, but I thought they would take Oakafor, but on draft night, i had the feeling the would go with the more exciting pick in D'Lo. I wouldn't change a thing except getting Towns. |

I would do over the 2012 Draft and not take Sacre at 60. He's been a curse on our team ever since and we can't get rid of him.
But to answer the question
I'd take Porzingis over Russell, just because I knew we weren't getting a big in free agency. Porzingis (as well as Towns) may become one of the greatest of all time, DLO may be a big supporting piece on a Championship team though. _________________

Maybe A. Brown? But can't get greedy with 2nd rounders?
Still think DLO was the right choice at #2. |

I've been perfectly happy with our drafting over the past two years. Randle was by far the best prospect available at 7: Nurkic, Hood, and LaVine are the closest to his caliber. Clarkson was a steal, who should've gone much higher. No one drafted behind him comes even close to his talent/potential. You can make the argument for Porzingis, but I'm perfectly content/ecstatic with D'Angelo at 2. Larry Nance Jr was an absolute steal at 27 as well, as long as he continues to stay healthy. Brown, you could make the argument for Powell, Joe Young, or Richardson over him, but I still like AB and I'm not going to hold it against him if he doesn't pan out, since second rounders are a crap shoot. |

With all due respect, this is one of the most annoying nicknames I've seen. _________________ LeBron, AD, & _________. Stay tuned.

I waver back and forth between DLO and Porz but does Porz break out with Randle in the lineup?
For 2014, Hood makes a compelling case to be chosen ahead of Randle, especially from a fit standpoint alongside Porz. _________________ Luxury Tax/FA Spreadsheet (Save to your Google Drive to edit) |

I'd redo DLO and take Porzingis Booker and Okafor over him. DLO has come around and shown flashes with his shot but the lack of quickness for a PG is a redflag. If he doesn't have quickness at 20 it's going to only get worse from here. DLO has to kind of play like the wiley vet to get space and box out defenders on pick n rolls in order to get his shot off. This shouldn't be the case for a second over all pick in a draft class that's considered extremely deep. Booker is probably the biggest surprise here and will prob be the best guard out of this class.
I'm hoping Lakers get the pick right this time. You don't normally get a second chance -- draft Ingram.. |
