If we end up drafting Ben Simmons, do we trade Julius Randle?

Can Ben Simmons and Julius Randle play together? Discuss.

Right or wrong it's my ideal scenario. Ingram is a great fit, but Simmons is immense talent. You should take the year to see if either Randle or Simmons can improve their jumper or maybe one can play a Green type role in the middle (not comparing the player, role only). Take the year to see if it they show signs of working together and worry about getting value and fit later.

I personally don't mind this thread, because how common of a misconception it is. Even I thought we'd have to trade Randle for a minute

So, first and foremost , Simmons has the measurables and athleticism to play at least 15mpg at Center.

Lets say Simmons is the better player/prospect , but Randle ends up developing a jumpshot -- imagine that Randle leading a 2nd unit ala Lamar Odom, Iggy. He'd be an amazing 6th man. Who'm will still get close to 30mpg no doubt (just by Simmons being able to play Center)

Hell no. Randle will improve his J and they'll play together.

Either Randle, Nance Jr, or Simmons will improve their jumper to the point that we won't need to trade Randle.

yeah.. simmons can play center.. but if we can trade any of these guys for a star.. say.. Cousins or Butler or PG... we gotta do.. that is for the right price.. we can't mortgage the whole future on 1 player.. especially since we have cap room.

Neither is great at shooting that's why I'm hoping Brandon Ingram falls perfectly in our laps. He could be the klay to Russell being Steph.
