|

The BScott Farewell Tour continues...
So I guess Porzingis being tired after 20 minutes was the reason he wasn't the #2 pick
http://nypost.com/2016/05/20/byron-scott-delivers-porzingis-rip-and-bizarre-i-told-you-so/
Scott — who is not known as the most reliable narrator — said the Lakers were still seriously considering taking Porzingis with their pick, but it was his conditioning that did him in.
“He just came in town; he was pretty worn out after 20 minutes,” Scott said. “So you just didn’t get a chance to see everything he was capable of doing. Until the season started and we saw him in the Summer League, then I said, ‘Whoa, this kid is going to be pretty good.’
“So there was serious discussion about him, and probably if he would have been in great shape, then there would have been more serious discussions about it.” _________________ #11/08/16 America became GREAT again

Byron also said that the Lakers probably would have taken Russell either way. |

Why even bring this up? Is it to create drama/doubt about DLO? For all the "man up" culture he thinks he exudes he sure acts like a vindictive son of a (bleep).
I don't buy that Byron bleeds purple and gold for one second. If he did, he'd let the team move past him. _________________ Don't let perfect be the enemy of good

I've heard this a while back. Porzingis was solid as a rookie but the jury is still out if he's going to be a superstar. His stats for a big aren't impressive. I still would rather have Russell. |

I'd still take Russell over Porzingis and I wish Byron would shut the heck up |

He was asked a question. He answered said question and said that the Lakers would still take Russell.
Some of this defense of Russell when he wasn't even attacked is ridiculous, I get it most of you hate Byron but stop being obtuse. I'm starting to seriously hate basketball discussion now. |

Good. Rather have DLo and agree with Luke that he can be a perennial all star in this league. _________________ Showtime 2.0 |

They're not taking a guy who wasn't even good enough to play more than 15 minutes a game overseas over Ingram or Simmons.
They would be crucified and rightfully so.
You can't take that gamble when you don't have to take one. _________________ #CowboysNation

I'm trying to figure out how Byron has not burned bridges with the Laker organization. What a complete tool. This "(bleep) you Russell tour" is all but guaranteed to never get him another position in the NBA. Who the hell is going to hire him after airing his former team's dirty laundry? These are things that you simply do not reveal to the media. He just isn't capable of going in peace. The guys who put on a fake tough guy act always have to go out kicking and screaming. |

This!
These forums are so overloaded with all the nonsense posts it really makes them hard to read or enjoy. Basically, it's read a hundred (or two) whiny, (bleep), complaints to find one interesting post, then repeat. Ugh. We went through all this with Walton hate, now everyone loves him. Let's just leave out the overreactions & hate so we can stick to real discussions. |

Byron is not doing himself any favors with this media tour. He's been the most immature ex-coach I've ever seen. |
