I called this after the lotto was over. It makes too much sense, and Philly gets to add a guard. My guess is Boston sends a little more than just the #3.
I have Murray or Hield going 3 if this goes down. _________________ "It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up."-The Greatest

What really irks me is the way the Celtics FO is showing better management and rebuilding skills than we are. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

That would be a horrible trade for the Sixers. They can get more than the #3 pick in a two man draft for Okafor. _________________ A banana is killed every time a terrible thread or post is made. Save the bananas. Stop creating terrible posts!
Makes sense for the Celts as several of their rotation bigs (Amir, Sullinger, Zeller, and Jerebko) are upcoming free agents and they need bigs on cheap contracts to preserve cap-space for bigger fish.
For Sixers, they get a guard and start Noel, allowing Embiid to be brought along slowly. _________________ Luxury Tax/FA Spreadsheet (Save to your Google Drive to edit)

The Sixers are saying Embiid won't play in SPL so they'll have no idea how his foot will hold up let alone how he'll play before this trade would be made. Given Embiid's injury history already and the longevity of big men and foot injuries it's a gamble given Okafor's solid rookie showing.
It's a gamble they probably need to take though given the overlap between Noel, Embiid and Okafor. I, personally, want to see the Sixers succeed and stop this yearly tanking. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant

Really? By trading for Okafor?
No, by rebuilding faster than we are. I still think we should have drafted Okafor. I think he would have put more effort into his play if he were here. That's not saying much for his professionalism. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
