This is a new thing that I'm doing, making X's & O's videos on Laker topics. This is Part 1 of my Luke to the Lakers series, which will focus on the components of the Warriors offensive & defensive systems that I expect him to bring to the Lakers. Hope you enjoy.

BTW I loved when you pointed out how the Lakers CONSTANTLY flirted with 8 seconds counts all year long. It also seemed like we waited until there was 10 seconds left on the shot clock before we even tried to run or "sets". (bleep) drove me nuts.

Fantastic analysis and execution Golden Throat, I'm very impressed. Obviously we won't have the talent that GSW does, but hopefully we can at least come close to the IQ they have. These reads and quick decisions are by players that are very smart, Lakers need to also get wiser out there on the court.

Looking forward to the next video series.

Great stuff. I really agree and like that you pointed out the Warriors' early offense principle, where Steph sends it up the court to a wing following the make off an inbounds. My coach would have our PG send it up the court to the wing, who could attack early, if the defense isn't set up. If the defense is set, the wing can either initiate the offense or pass it back to the PG to initiate. Also the point you made about Steph being able to fill the lane is important for our versatility as well, as JC, Randle, or DLo can all grab the rebound and push. I'd imagine that Nance would be the rim runner, similar to Draymond or Ezeli.

Great job, GT.

Just as I was thinking "he should show the drag screens," the very next clip went to them.

Great mix of VO and silence to show the repetition of the plays.

Excellent post GT

I can easily picture Randle and Nance setting those double drag screens in transition for easier shots for our guards. Looking forward to the halfcourt sets video. Bout to hit the follow button on twitter

Randle will need to work on that, his screens last season weren't great, though I thought they improved as the season went on.

He can take the last screen he set last season on Hayward and refine it from there.

I remember him improving in terms of screening the guy when he'd give a handoff to someone. Hopefully he takes that mindset in general to screening on/off the ball.

Right good point. He was a good screener then, but off the ball, he might have set 10 good screens all year.
