So correction to correction: Lynx did get screwed.
WNBA shot clock resets to 14 on offensive rebounds, not 24. So it was correct on that possession and shot was late. oh well. |

Just saw this
So sad to see Kobe Bryant be tagged as Laker Legend and not Lakers Superstar anymore |
I like how he retired, and immediately grew a beard |

Hmmm....
Lakers with 16 titles...
Kings with 2 titles....
Sparks NOW with their 3rd title today...
The Clippers are STILL the only team in Staples without a title. _________________ The Gospel in a nutshell: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 |

Finals MVP Candace Parker finally captures elusive WNBA title
Quote: | Parker, who was named the WNBA Finals MVP with 28 points and 12 rebounds, kept the Sparks afloat during stretches of the game when Ogwumike was in foul trouble.
Parker didn't talk a great deal about all the things that fueled her this season -- not being selected to the U.S. Olympic team; losing her college coach, Pat Summitt; not making the all-WNBA first or second teams -- but they definitely kept her fire stoked throughout. |

I am very happy once more to be wrong about who would win.
Above all Candace Parker made the WNBA pay for not putting her on Team USA. Her winning a Championship this season is the GREATEST revenge she could have ever had, and capping it off with a 28/12 game on Maya Moore's home court, outplaying her and taking the title.
Candace solidified her entire career and ensured her legacy. |

One of the better championship series I've seen. The league's move to reseed the playoffs bore fruit.
Sparks showed so much grit in that game 5. I think the Lynx had more talent overall, but the Sparks had 2 of the best 3 players, Candace and Nneka along with Maya Moore. |
