No. OKC is simply better.

Why?

Luke isn't the one giving intructions to the GS players.

When he did, the Warriors went 39-4 and played a fun free flowing style.

Well the system as a whole is my concern, if they have been exposed by rookie Billy Donovan. (Edit: exposed so quickly)

The Warriors aren't being exposed as much as there fatigue is wearing on them.

They wasted to much energy on a lot of games and when that happens there players will eventually start to show signs of being underwhelm.

Right.... cause 17 win team chooses a coach based on his coaching tree ability to win back-to-back titles...

Sample size is plenty is plenty big to know the GS system is legit. If anything an earlier exit by GS means Luke joins LA sooner to help build his staff and look after workouts for #32.

Not at all. It's simple, stars win playoff games. Westbrook and Durant came to play, Curry, Thompson and Green haven't yet so far.

I think it is pretty much the best thing that could have happened. now he can see the flaws and problems as well and has all summer to think about it. What better experience can he get?

You can argue that Luke coached the team better than Kerr.

Exactly.

even a hothead like Draymond Green talked about how he loved playing for Luke and same goes for Iggy and the other Warrior players.

I think Warriors should have given Luke a chance to coach all year long, I think in this situation the Warriors need a laid back guy like Luke giving them disclosure.

I'm hoping Luke fits his style to our team's roster. I wasn't planning on him trying to completely mimic the Warriors style. Hopefully in the future the Lakers will be able to go big or small, inside or out, and protect the rim better than the Warriors.

Btw, it's the Clippers who are cursed. LA was the preseason title favorite in 2012-13 and four years later has among the most asset rich developing rosters in the league despite a leaguewide conspiracy (CBA) to hold us down.

Luke can very well come here and be a disaster. But it will be because of his inexperience, not because of the way he wants the team to play.

Yup. Losing is the best way to get better.

Sometimes, when you win TOO much, you forget the little things that made you successful.

And FWIW, GS hasn't lost yet. They'll play 2 of the next 3 at home.

This is basically the NBA finals.

Not much at all. You could even say the coaching of Kerr and Luke has been even more impressive with this flawed and not so physical team.

Can't blame Luke for this. Not even he can make Steph and Drayfraud man up and play like actual NBA players.

I think the good thing is Luke had experience winning championships with bigs, Gasol, Bynum and Odom and currently small ball with GS. In the end, GS really isn't playing and D and OKC is making the case you can beat them with athletic bigs. We need athletic bigs and obviously a defensive mind set. Hopefully he'll hire a good defensive minded assistant.

I don't understand why people think that just because Luke is the coach we are going to run GS offense. He is going to take some parts of it, some parts of what he learned as a player from Phil, some parts of what he learned in college, some parts he saw in dreams, some parts from other teams.

He's just going to run some offense. We are not going to be clones, or a mirror copy.

If he's a good coach, he'll take the parts that are good, and specifically the ones that fit our players.

Oh and by the way, "GS System" whatever the hell that is, is not necessarily bad. Are they "exposed" because they have trouble when curry cannot create for the rest of the team? Yes maybe the team needs more players that can create for themselves instead of always passing, but then why is the system bad? That would mean it would overcome that problem with different players, no?

Anyway, my point is, stop thinking we are going to be a copy of GS, because we are not. Even if we had the exact same players, the exact same coach, it would still be different.

Actually quite the opposite. I'm quite confident that if Luke was coaching GSW would be up 3-1 right now instead of down 3-1.
