Question: Who is under the most pressure to nail it on Draft night, the Lakers or the Sixers?
The heat is definitely on both franchises.
This issue will be hotly debated and both teams FO will be thoroughly scrutinized for the next few months.

76ers bar none. You don't want to be known as the team that passed on the next superstar. Yes,the Lakers could draft a bust, but it can be explained away with they didn't have the first pick. If the 76ers screw up. It will be remebered for a long time.

Especially given the 76ers very transparent tanking plan. _________________ LeBron, AD, & _________. Stay tuned.

Short-term: Sixers
Long-term: Lakers
This is most likely our last top 5 pick for the next few years. Sixers will have lottery assets stashed for upcoming seasons. That said, if the Sixers screw up this year's pick, (doubtful) they'll be kicking themselves and be forced to trade some of those assets they've accumulated to land a franchise player. _________________ Character

How is this even a question?
Sixers by a mile. They get any player they want. We get the other guy. |

We are. No one expects anything from the Sixers because they've always sucked outside of the Iverson years. We're a championship franchise and it is expected that we get back there eventually. _________________ Lakers, today. Lakers, tomorrow. Lakers, forever. |

That's different though. That is pressure to get better. This is saying, at the draft, in terms of the selection.
You can make the right choice at the draft and mess up everywhere else and still have won the draft. |

Lakers. We're in the position of having to steal the better player with the #2 pick. |

There is no pressure on the Lakers. They automatically get whoever the Sixers don't select.
Hell, you can pay me the GM salary and I will do it, completely stress free. |

Easy, Sixers. We just have to select the remaining top prospect. |

Everyone knows Simmons and Ingram are the first two picks. The 76ers have a choice, we get the other guy. So I don't really see any pressure for our FO. The 76ers will make our choice for us. |

To me it is the Lakers for a couple of reasons:
1. No one cares about the 76ers, not even the people in Philadelphia for the most part. If (when) they continue to lose, no one will care.
2. The Lakers are coming off of two very embarrassing seasons and at some point it is going to impact the brand if they keep putting a bad product on the floor. They need major improvement this season and the pick will be key to that.
It will be very interesting to see what the front office does this summer to try and turn this thing around. To me, the draft pick is important but should be a relatively easy decision provided Mitch doesn't get cute with it again.
The bigger issue is what are we going to do to get some veterans in here who can turn this thing around. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Yup, but us Lakers fans care more than others, so I'd say Lakers. _________________

Lakers.
Why would 76ers be under any scrutiny? For the past seasons, they've been the laughing stock (LAL has been there too obv) of the league.. if they bust on this draft, it'll just be another 'tank' season. Everyone will bat an eye and move on.
All eyes on Lakers to bounce back really. If things turn sour for the Lakers, no doubt about it you'll have media writing about them everywhere. Everyone will be on about the Lakers. Its what gets them hits, its what writes their checks. |

No pressure for Lakers at all. 2nd pick in a 2 player draft. If whoever drops to them busts, oh well, it was a unanimous concensus that it should've been the pick. _________________ Reigning 2015 Lakers Ground Yahoo fantasy football league champion. See ya next year, suckas! |

Lakers have the most pressure. Easily! We have the 2nd winningest franchise in NBA history. Pressure to get back into contention. Sixers haven't been to the Finals since 2001 and the Lakers 2010. Big difference in expectations and pressure. _________________ Do you believe it now, Trinity? - Morpheous |

Pressure?
Pressure is deciding that someone other than Ingram or Simmons should be the second pick of the draft. If you go with that gut level decision and you're wrong, Lakers fans will have your head on a pike. |

Sixers most pressure. They dictate the following pick. _________________ Resident Car Nut.
