DeMar DeRozan's days with the Raptors might be numbered ... that's according to his best friend and former teammate, Romeo Miller, who says he knows where DeRozan is headed ... and he hints it's the Lakers.
Haha didn't realize til I watched the vid that it was lil Romeo haha
He would definatley make us better and a good locker room guy to put around these young fellas. Smart move by him to come here. We also know what we're getting, he's not like Whiteside where he gets paid and may disappear and an offense that doesn't fit him, so with a signing of Whiteside may hurt us and I'll have to pass on him and go Noah or trade for a center who fits.
But lol at saying he's the best SG in the league haha I can differ that there may be 3-5 guys better than him
Klay. harden, Wade and butler for sure then you Middleton, McCollum, Beal,
1. Thompson
2. Harden
3. Wade
4. Butler
5. Derozan *
6. Wiggins
7. Middleton
8. MCollum
9. Beal
10. Knight - Reddick - Oladipo - Hood (tie and idk, tough) I love Hood tho and I see him as a top 5 SG in a few years
I don't think we should get hid of Clarkson or Dlo with DeRoz coming because they are both perfect coming off the bench on a three guard rotation.
With DeRoz onboard I think Lou become the redundant piece because Clarkson has similar numbers with just one and a half season of experience and Dlo don't have the stats, but is a second pick with flashes of a dominant scorer in the making with upside as facilitator.

I'd take Wiggins, Middleton, McCollum, Beal, Oladipo, and maybe some others as well over Derozan too. _________________ "It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up."-The Greatest

Why the rush to trade away core talent? Lakers need to be acquiring talent not looking for ways to move it IMO. This seems to be a consistent theme for some. Always looking for ways to trade Clarkson or Randle.
It puzzles me.
Lakers need to be keeping the talent and adding to it this year. Even if "overpaying" to acquire that free agent. Derozan, SF and a C would go a long ways to making this team competitive again.
If Derozan is signed I think Russell/ Clarkson at PG and a Derozan/ Williams SG rotation would be solid as the team rebuilds.
Add a SF in free agency and possibly Ingram off the bench would make me even happier.
Sure I would like him here, but I wouldn't expect him to carry us into the Playoffs. He's like an Eddie Jones type who can get a couple All-star appearances under his belt before turning into solid role player. _________________
We need Biyongbo/Ibaka type players thru free agency. Once we draft Ingram, we have complete backcourts. Agile frontcourts are what we need most. You heard Mitch mentioning 7 footers. Look at thunders n raptors. Height, length n agility are still a factor! Small ball is overrated. _________________ Kobe's Top 5 Dunks, 81 points, MJ last gm @Staples

No one player is carrying this team to the playoffs.
Building this roster is about expectations. Depending on the path the Lakers take we will have to adjust our expectations.
If they are somehow able to acquire a Big Three type free agent haul we should expect more then if they take a more patient "develop" the roster type of approach.
In this case Derozan is just another piece of the puzzle. Who else is being added? How do they fit into what Walton wants to install?
Lakers have a long way to go to even consider being a playoff team. Going from a 17 win team to even an 8th seed is an epic 25 game improvement. Depending on the players added....maybe.
Seeing what Kupchak will do to improve this team is entertaining as hell because of all the various options and paths they can take. We have all made our preferences and predictions, now we get closer to seeing what actually happens.
