I'd use it to get rid of Nick Young. |

Right now, Hammons out of Purdue would be my 2nd pick after Zimmerman for the 32nd pick. |

If Levert slips to 32 he might be worth the gamble. Injury problems, but he can play when healthy...he's...just...never healthy.
Guys I like at 32:
Malcolm Brogdon: 3 and D potential can help right away.
Petr Cornelie: 7 foot french dude with good athleticism and a sweet jumper.
Gary Payton II: Potential to be a good and versatile perimeter defender, can't shoot.
Kay Felder: Small, but can shoot, score, and pass. Showed in the combine that he can defend too.
Chinanu Onuaku: I loved this guy at the combine. Can rebound and defend, limited offensive game, only 19 years old. |

We have to take a big man. A Defensive Center type.
How about offering it to OKC for Dakari Johnson? He's a 7 footer who is doing well in their D-League. They have plenty of depth at center.
That said...I'd go for whichever of these guys is available.
1. Thon Maker - would love for him to slip to 32. I just think teams like Boston or Philly (with multiple picks) may take him at the end of Round 1.
2. Damian Jones - Also likely gone. I think he's a good shot blocker/energy big we could use.
3. Diamond Stone - Likely gone as well.
4. Chinanu Onuaku - Defensive big.
5. Zhou Qi - project, but a big 7-2 one. Worth a shot. |

I think we'll draft a C with the 32nd pick. |

My guess is that they'll take the best player available regardless of position.
Kinda like they've been doing for the last few years. |

Pretty much this. I think a lot of us are trying to connect dots with some of the center prospects in that range, but really this is still BPA. Personally, it's hard for me to come off of moving up a few spots if Thon is still on the board. They don't have many future picks to use, but if you can swap Lou (knowing you'll resign Clarkson) to move up and secure him I do it. He's terribly raw and shouldn't have came out, but this kid is special and should play a year in the D-league at least. Beyond that, you don't "have" to take a center as I'm sure they will end the offseason with a starter and descent backup in place. |

I really like Hammons big body can handle pretty much anything inside. Can hit the jumper and has a decent back to the basket game. Probably won't be there at 32. |

Say what? That's no fun. We need to take the player with the most on YouTube. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

Trade down for LeVert, GP2 or Ibeh _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though." |

Yeah, BPA for sure. Generally the golden rule, though the later in the draft you go beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the range of 'potential' among the remaining prospects shrinks.
The two areas currently undervalued are Centers who don't have great lateral quickness and Seniors. Makes sense since it's a high PnR league and draft picks are generally meant to contribute down the road. A good zig while others zag is Hammond. Good hands, decent mobility, decent range, good anchor, good counter to the opposition playing a burley Center. But, other teams aren't playing big Centers as much, you have to feather the PnR with him (gives up the 3pt shot) and he needs to get in NBA conditioning. I see him being a good chess piece type player a couple years down the road. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

DX has him at #42. I wouldn't be surprised for him to be taken before our 2nd rounder but he's a 'slower' center and a Sr. Those are two big 'potential' strikes. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

Yeah I really want Thon Maker at 32 or maybe even trade up to get him late in the first. I've seen him play live, and although he needs a lot of seasoning, he has an unbelievably high ceiling. _________________ Twitter: CurtisBoyer |

We can just stretch nick young. I think the #32 pick is worth more than 2.7m in cap space. |

Last 20 players picked at #32
2015: Montrezl Harrell
2014: KJ McDaniels
2013: Alex Abrines
2012: Tomas Satoransky
2011: Justin Harper
2010: Dexter Pittman
2009: Jermaine Taylor
2008: Walter Sharpe
2007: Gabe Pruitt
2006: Steve Novak
2005: Daniel Ewing
2004: Peter John Ramos
2003: Luke Walton
2002: Robert Archibald
2001: Omar Cook
2000: AJ Guyton
1999: Michael Ruffin
1998: Rashard Lewis
1997: James Cotton
1996: Ryan Minor
Luke Walton is the 2nd best player on this list. It's hard enough to find an NBA caliber player at #32, but people want to include the additional restriction of him playing a specific position? I'm glad you're not running my business. |

I've been pretty perplexed at the love for Maker for quite some time now, but at #32, I agree with you. Too much clay to pass up. Lock him in a gym with your Player Development coach for the next 2 years and see if you can get a rotational player out of it, if not more. |

I've given this a lot of thought, and I'm pretty sure that LA will either trade it or select a player with it... _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

I would also add selecting a player with it and trading him at a later time. |

That's technically a second question regarding what LA will do with the player they select if they do indeed select a player with their draft pick. _________________ “We must always take sides. we could also sell it. GOTCHA
in any case, I really am baffled as to how Zhou Qi's stock has dropped so precipitously. Just before the NCAA season he was a lottery pick on most boards. He's one guy who I think will rocket back up into the first round after workouts simply because he's been out of public view in the China offseason while other players have been active in NCAA. IMO if he was playing college ball in America he'd still be a top 20 pick. |

yeah i don't think anyone will sell draft picks anymore considering just how valuable they are in today's CBA by keeping player salaries capped. |

Kinda reminds me of what everyone said about Anthony Brown last year. Do we need two Anthony Browns on the team? |
