Manchester City are set to confirm the signing of midfielder Ilkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund.
Decent signing for them if he can avoid the injuries that he keeps picking up over the last couple of seasons. _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

Arsenal trigger Jamie Vardy release clause with bid of around 20m, now in talks with Leicester over signing.

I understand your hesitation, but I would call it a good move. |

I'm mildly surprised by the Koeman to Everton talk. I guess Everton still has some cachet from the old days, plus the new owner could bring some money to the club. Still, it strikes me as a lateral move. |

Especially when Lukaku is likely to leave. Hard to see how Everton will be much better next season, so unless they're paying Koeman significantly more, then it is a strange move isn't it. _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

I did hear a salary number for Koeman being kicked around, and it sounded pretty high. I mean like Phil Jackson money. |

Money definitely talks. I know if a rival firm offered to double my pay I'd be down for it _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

I don't know man, I'm not sold on him hing enough experience to come in and start right away.
He certainly looks to have high potential though, watching him you notice his recovery speed, though you can tell he's kinda raw still.
Good to see Utd immediately addressing a problem area though. _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

We could still add another central defender, rid ourselves of Jones, and replace him with a rhyming defender. _________________ Character

According to skysports, Man City are in advanced negotiations to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Dortmund.
Pairing him with Aguero is almost unfair
Arsenal fans will be bitter about this, already had a few texts of that nature. Especially considering we're probably gonna be pied off by Vardy, and after Wenger spoke about lack of quality strikers available _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

I have a hard time listening to soccer radio in the days after the US loses a game. The pundits go into a feeding frenzy with the hothead callers. I mean, we lost to freaking Colombia, not St. Vincent. We were the freaking underdog, not the favorite. They had guys like James, not a bunch of amateurs. When you saw our draw before the tournament, you would have expected us to lose this game.
And somehow this is Proof that Klinsmann needs to be fired Now. He is a tactical idiot, he plays all of the wrong players, and he isn't advancing the program. I turn off the radio because I get sick of all the whining.
I guess I can turn the radio back on for a few days now. |

Brexit could impact international players playing in the Premier League.
Quote: | With immigration concerns one of the major factors driving the vote to leave the EU, the UK could try to broker a trade agreement that does not include the free movement of people.
If that happens, then the 432 European players who Sky Sports reported were registered to play in the Premier League last season would need work permits.
And a study by the BBC asserted that more than 100 Premier League players, and a total of 332 players including the Championship and Scottish Premiership, would be ineligible for a work permit under the current regulations.
...
Equally concerning for clubs would be the regulation governing the registration of youth players.
FIFA rules state that players under the age of 18 cannot be transferred across borders. However, players as young as 16 who transfer within the European Union are exempted from the FIFA rule due to freedom of movement of labour laws covering people from minimum working age (defined as 16). This means 16-year-olds have always been able to move between European clubs when they reach professional-contract age, and that in turn has led to hundreds of players switching clubs for a minimal compensation fee.
Arsenal, most notably with Hector Bellerin and Cesc Fabregas, and Manchester United, with Adnan Januzaj and Timothy Fosu-Mensah, are just two examples of clubs taking young players from other European countries at 16. If the UK's new trade agreement with the EU does not include free movement of players, it is almost certain that English clubs would not be allowed to sign these players before the age of 18. But the likes of Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Real Madrid would be able to carry on as usual within the EU. |
