I've never understood this type of thinking. I've been a Laker fan since the mid 70's and have seen every championship won in LA with the exception of the 1972 title. I bleed purple and gold as much as the next guy....probably more.
With that said, to me, being a true Laker fan should be about rooting for the name on the front of the jersey....not the back. I understand the hate for LeBron....he's a cocky arrogant prima donna. But the same can be said about Kobe and if he wasn't a Laker legend, the hate for him would likely be as strong from most of us as they are for LBJ now. I know I wouldn't care for Kobe if he had played on another team.
So as soon as a player (any player) puts on a Laker jersey, they get and deserve my loyalty....especially if they help win us a championship. LeBron would make us instant contenders and any one who gets us closer to catching the Celtics in total titles would be welcomed by me. |

Lets say this comes to pass would Cleveland re-burn his jersey?
Or would they be okay with it this time around because he won a title(gag) for the "Land" and he's aging? |
