I think he will be very good, but I'm still rolling the dice on Ingram.

What would suck is if the Celtics take him and he ends up being Lillard to our Michael Kidd-Gilchrist...

He kind of is because of the rookie salary.

About a $500K difference from #2 to #3. And a several hundred thousand every pick after that.

Kidd-Gilchrist is the same player today that he was in high school. Ingram actually improved in college and as good as he is today, as GoldenThroat's video showed, he still has plenty of room to improve offensively.

Wasn't impressed by his shooting In that clip. Not enough to pass on Ingram two way potential and versatility

That, unfortunately, will probably be the case.

For me Hield is Jr. Smith and Reddick hybrid. That's a pretty good player Imo but not a 2nd pick.

I see a little bit of the Kobe stroke, they definitely been working out...

Don't think he's our man though...

I have no doubt he's going to be really good. Much better than the very overrated Kris Dunn anyway.

But the problem is, Ingram is just better. Sorry Buddy, just don't be a Celtic.

Buddy Hield Confident L.A. Will Draft Him With Second Pick

Quote:
the Lakers worked out Oklahoma guard Buddy Hield on Saturday, and he apparently believes that the Lakers will take him with the second overall pick according to Mark Medina of the LA Daily News.

Hield has almost no fit on our roster. The guard spots are filled.

Fit is not the issue with him. In fact, out of all the guards in this draft including this team to pair with Russell, Hield is by far the best fit. A deadly shooter that plays at his best off the ball? That's a fit on almost any team.

The issue is, he's not the betier prospect as long as Simmons and Ingram exist. Just that simple.

I really hope that he isn't selected by us. Kobe training with him should not mean that we select him. Ingram right now is the better choice. I would be surprised if they select him at number 2

Sure, after we take care of length, defense, and versatility first.

If the Lakers are considering picking this guy up at #2, they might as well just trade the pick to the team that values it the most.

That being said...

Also, this is the difference between the projected first and third picks. First pick wont workout for teams cuz he knows he's the shat. Third pick pleads why he should be second.

Only thing the Lakers should be thinking of is what size jersey will Ingram fit into after he bulks up come opening night?
