The LF mad scientist report Issue 1 Vol 1

We all know that Durant can possibly go anywhere this summer, but with a whole lot and I mean a whole lot of cap space who is to say that if we were to land the dynamic tough scorer in DeRozan that it should lure Durant into a contract, with even more capital to spend, we could even have enough cap space to sign two serviceable centers, how about a two headed monster at Center in Zaza Pachulia and Hassan Whiteside, again all these additions are entirely possible with the cap space we have, you figure Durant will want 22.5 Mil, DeRozan will push for 15 Mil, but both of these centers are not going to get anything over 10 Mil combined, that's 47.5 Mill, and we stll have over 10 Mil, so would could even possibly bring in a back up point guard in like say Mike Conely this would create an instant title contender, It would be like dominoes with DeRozan being the first

PG Russell/Conely
SG DeRozan/Clarkson
SF Durant/Ingram
PF Randle/Nance Jr.
C Whiteside/Pachulia

If Russell and Randle are 50% better that they have been, and both centers stay healthy, and Ingram shows the signs of superstar, then we have the defensive, offensive and superstar talents that should get about 55 wins in the West their first year together

The pitch to KD is a joint deal with others in his class. Horford, Conley, Green and Noah were also lotto picks in his cohort. Green was on his team in OKC and they were both in DC for awhile too. The most talked about pairing has been KD and Horford. Have to imagine Conley is another potential pairing target. Green or Noah could be added to any of KD/Horford or Conley.

Having better players would likely make Durant more interested, so in that vein adding Derozan might help. Maybe turn a 0.001 chance into a 0.0012 chance.

We will awake from this bad dream very soon, we are guaranteed to be a better team next year, and we have a great chance to be a very good team, if this summer is a dream come true, before the summer starts we really only have 3 guys who are guaranteed to be back in Clarkson, Randle, and Russell, add Ingram and that's 4 guys, everyone is will either be gone, released, or traded realistically

If we're giving max deals to Durant and DeRozan, then what's left for Conley or Whiteside? Dude isn't going to play for peanuts, and Conley's probably not coming here to back up Russell either.

I don't think anyone could bring Durant to the Lakers. He makes enough money in OKC, he doesn't seem to care for the glitz and the glam of LA, and OKC's not going to ride him for not getting them to the promise land like LA will.

After all the comments derozen made, hes going to resign. The raptors are going to give him the max.

We should look at other free agents

I can't see him leaving an OKC team that was 1-2 solid offensive sequences from eliminating the Warriors.

Only chance would be if the Lakers worked a Miami-like deal to get two other legit all-stars here with Durant.

I think it's funny how if we get derozan, he's starting over JC, but if we get conely, D Russ is starting over him.

Signing Derozan will have no impact on Durant coming here. He isn't good enough.

Honestly I think it does tip the balance to entice KD. It entices him to stay away from the Lakers.

Derozan should start over JC but no way Conley comes here to be a backup.

I'm gonna go outside the box here, assuming the Lakers LOVE Buddy and trade Russell for him. If you get Buddy, you don't need Roz. However, they will need a TRUE PG, and a REAL C.

PG: Rondo/Clarkson
SG: Buddy/Clarkson/Brown/ Williams
SF: Ingram
PF: Randle/Nance
C: Whiteside/Black
