With the Warriors losing, I don't think that he will be pining for GS much even if this team has rough patches during the season. Let's get to work coach.

I think the Dubs losing is actually better for Luke. He can take the things that worked and he'll have a better handle on what didn't.

Sometimes, when success comes too easy, one can hesitate on making adjustments.

Several months earlier, Walton had considered the best way to reach his players after an exhbition loss. He was in charge of the Warriors while Coach Steve Kerr recovered from back surgery, famously guiding them to a 39-4 record that included an unprecedented 24-0 start before Kerr returned.

But on this day, Walton was worried about their poor play the previous night leaking into their next game. Would they respond to a punishing practice? A lengthy film session?

Neither, it turned out. Walton got the Warriors back on track by having them walk across the parking lot from Oracle Arena to O.co Coliseum to take batting practice on the Oakland Athletics’ home field. “It was pretty cool,” Collins said. “It was a way for everybody to kind of decompress and refocus.”

Walton also showed that while he was the NBA equivalent of a substitute teacher, he was no pushover. When Draymond Green loudly questioned a drill the Warriors were struggling to grasp, Walton matched the voluble forward’s decibel level and explained the importance of the drill while demonstrating the correct way to complete it.

When players challenge coaches, it's good to respond with logic rather than the typical "I'm right and you're wrong".

Luke is probably going to be our worse hire. Look how terrible the coaching for the Warriors turned out to be. Can't even win after 3-1.

there's a little bit of Zen Master in Luke, I see all those years of playing under Phil had rubbed off.

wonder if Luke uses the same words Phil did when he came back the 2nd time and said it wasn't about winning championships right away it was about "righting the ship"...

You've got to say, Byron left the ship laying on it's side...

The Cavs have more talent, period. Hell, the Thunder have more talent.

The Warriors got to where they are through great teamwork.
