Quote: | [...] if you know [owner Joe] Lacob, [general manager Bob] Myers and the entire makeup of this management group, the Game 7 loss to Cleveland on Sunday absolutely flipped the turbo switch.
“We will be very aggressive,” one Warriors executive said late Sunday night when asked about the team’s approach in the coming movement period. “Very, very aggressive.” [...]
They will have some money to spend, can create more space if they need to, and can offer a nice situation for a veteran aiming for one last title (and to be credited for returning the Warriors to the mountaintop).
And Nowitzki–who won a title with Dallas in 2011 but hasn’t won a playoff series since–is somebody Warriors management has circled. |

Yeah but I would be surprised if he actually goes anywhere. I think he wants to go out Kobe style. |

I don't see Dirk fitting on the Warriors. He's slow, soft on defense, and is an ISO offensive player. |

I agree, KD would be a better fit but I don't see KD going there either _________________ Lake Show |

It would be weird for Dirk to not be a Mav but it is a business. |

Dirk is too much of a coward and loyal to go anywhere else. He has this delusion (that Mark Cuban feeds him) that the Mavs will be contenders soon.
Dirk is just Cuban's puppet, and always will be. _________________ Dominating every day. |

I think he'd do well as a catch and shoot big. Certainly better than Fetus or whatever his name was. Start Bogut for defense, and bring Dirk off the bench and in crunch time to keep the other defenses honest. _________________ Dominating every day. |

From that article:
Nowitzki, who faced a Wednesday deadline to either become a free agent or lock himself into an $8.7 million option next season, formally notified the club of his intentions with one day to spare.
Yet the overwhelming expectation, both in Dallas and leaguewide, is that Nowitzki intends to stay with the Mavericks, who acquired him on draft night in 1998 and have made him the focal point of their franchise ever since.
Just a business move to keep options open.
Dirk isn't going anywhere except a retirement party in Dallas one day. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know
