I hear this Hawes, Lamb, #22 for cap idea. When exactly could the Lakers get access to their cap to make that trade? Is cap free for next year starting at the draft, or on the first day of FA?
If so I'd be all over this deal as the Lakers. Heck they could even offer to throw in 3.4 million more in cash considerations for them. Hawes contract will be a steal once we see the insane contracts of FA, and Lamb is a solid defensive backup. Plus a locked in first rounder.

| Salaries adjust on July 1; free agents become free on July 1; the cap doesn't adjust until July 7; teams can discuss but can't make deals (trades and most signings) July 1-6. |
