It's really not that surprising, the media refuses to acknowledge any Laker positivity.

Just saying, Hield is at 9.7/3/1 on 41% shooting. Ingram is at 9/4/2 on 39% shooting. The difference isn't all that huge. |

Yeah I was expecting Hield to be a lot more NBA ready, but he struggled to start the season, similar to Ingram. He's similarly picked it up like Ingram.
Forgot, Chriss will likely be a candidate also |

Less minutes for Hield though. |

If Ingram continues his upward trend and maybe has a breakout game, I think he actually gets in on the first team. He just seems to be so well regarded in the media and league-wide _________________ We back. |

Since all star break Zubac has the best PER of our team and is just behind Labissiere among rookies with playing time, two full points ahead of Saric and Hernangomez and WAY above Hield, Murray and others. I love Ingram, but if his raw numbers are way up, the advanced stats don't put him in the conversation for all rookie first team just like Dlo last season and Dlo stats where really close to the 4th and 5th. I believe Ingram is going to be a stud in a couple of seasons, but I can't make a case for him making all rookie first team this season, but for Zubac I can, he has been incredible efficient for a 19 years old center, lot of elite stats for a center his age comparing him to players like D12, Bynum and other centers from the last 20 years. |

Shoe-in's:
Saric: 13/6/2 on 51% TS
Embiid: 20/8/2 with 2.5 blocks on 58% TS
Brogdon: 10/3/4 on 55% TS
Ingram: 9/4/2 on 47% TS
Brown: 6/3/1 on 53% TS
Hield: 10/3/1 on 53% TS
Chriss: 9/4/1 on 53% TS
Murray 10/3/2 on 52% TS
Honestly, you could select any of the two guys and can make a reasonable case for them. Think the biggest factor that could leave Ingram off First Team is his shooting percentage from three and the free throw line (which is steadily declining every game) |

Also pretty impressive how Ingram has managed to up his PPG and FG% given his struggles at the lines (3, FT). _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points." |

Just look at the age of likely 1st team Rookies: Embiid, Saric, Brogdon, Hield. OLD. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

pretty typical though right? it's usually the older guys who are more effective in their rookie year, but they end up being plateauing and the younger ones develop a lot more. all rookie team always looks ridiculous in retrospect _________________ substance over style |

Yup, if he hit 72% from the FT line and 31% from three, he'd be up to 9.4 PPG. |

Wow, I didn't think of that. I think Murray gets the 5th spot since he's contributing on a playoff contender. |

Ages:
Embiid-23
Saric-22 (turning 23 in April)
Brogdon-24
Hield-23
Ingram. 19 until September!
Age absolutely matters in this context. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Oh no lol I was just curious how his scoring average would look if he hit over 70 percent from the line and 30 percent from three |

Yeah, and that's also why we should be thrilled with the progress he's made this season and the way he's playing now. Still 19 years old (for another half year!) and under 200 pounds, and he's already starting to figure out, slowly but surely, how to score consistently and efficiently against NBA competition from all areas of the floor and make plays for others. 1st Team All NBA Rookie or not, I'm super excited to see where he goes from here. |

Of Freakin' Course. Right when he's showing considerable improvement. Right when Luke wanted him to become a leader... Right when he was going to show Wiggins what a future 2-way star wing looks like. Right when he was gonna dunk on KAT and pull the rim down in honor of Shaq... Right when he... well you get my point lol... |

wull if Brandon isn't going to put out full effort tonight and play, then the whole first unit should be benched, right? At least that would make sense somehow to Luke, I guess... ??? |
