right...in the modern NBA, if it takes you 23 FGA's to score 25 points, your doing it wrong

Even in the old NBA that was mostly true (when Stu says it it's old).

Brown's athletic finishes probably make him look a little better than he actually is. Still, he seems to be developing nicely. He'll have a lot of opportunity now with Hayward gone.

yeah, he is athletic and does a few things really well....he is doing great for a 2nd year player....but he has a lot of flaws in his game.

Ingram should concentrate on things that are easier for him to do.
Concentrate on defense and rebounding.
Playing within the flow of the game and improve his passing.

If he does that everything else will fall in place.

I fully expect him to play like 1-3rd Q of the Jazz preseason game. I don't want to see a ton of iso/stick ball where he is forcing his way into the paint or trying to score ala DLO, Nick, Lou, etc. Why the coaching staff allows that type of play style? No idea.

Why do I get the feeling that if Ingram goes 11-23 tomorrow for a 25/6 people would be dancing in the streets?

I would be ok if Brandon did it too. I thought Jaylen looked pretty great for the most part, and ahead of schedule.

It's not unnatural to compare and discuss how another player who plays the same position and was taken one spot later than Brandon is doing. Even moreso because Jaylen was supposedly more of a "project" player than Brandon was during the draft process.

He did look good. Especially against a pretty good Cavs team.

Yeah, I would be dancing too. That's only .478% shooting, but guys cheered the crap out of Kobe and his many horrendous shot jacking. He's a career 8.7/19.5, 445% and no one said crap. Now people will be lining up to meet me in Temecula.

Yeah. I was just saying that that's a lot of shots, and probably a result of the peculiarity of GH being injured. I doubt he averages 20+ shots a game.

Music to my ears:

Quote:
“But I want to be a stat-line guy. Fill in the stat sheet, whether it’s rebounding the basketball, whether it’s deflections, whether it’s steals, whether it’s assists, whether it’s scoring the basketball, just trying to fill that stat line. Just doing everything on the floor that I can to help my team be effective and win.”

There you go, kid.
He has all the tools to be a steady 15-5-5 all season long kind of player

If Ingram has a good season, we could end up emerging as a playoff team, he has to have a really good year for us to contend for a playoff spot.

Do not get ahead of yourself, no chance we make the playoffs.

If Ingram puts up all star stats, then I don’t see why we can’t battle for the 8th spot, Clippers/Jazz aren’t a good sure thing and the Pelicans/Grizzlies are a question mark..

Ingram and Lonzo and what they do will tell us what direction we are going to.

We can make the playoffs. All we need is Ingram to average 50/20/13, and Lonzo to have a pedestrian 30/30/15 a game.

So does Lillard and CJ have to average 40 a game to make the playoffs?
