And we traded the #2 pick that actually showed he's an NBA talent.

Looks like garbage. Dribble dribble dribble then contested shot. Nothing in flow of offense.

What does that have to do with us?

It has to do with our PRESIDENT was so caught up in recreating what he used to have that he traded the only kid we had who could carry the scoring load in favor of a bum SF who does the chicken dance at a gust of wind.

He's gone, sure. But let's not pretend our guy in charge once again showed he has no idea how to judge talent.

So are you guys going to give us updates on Russells scoring throughout the season? Cause I don't think most people on this board are interested. We don't need to hear that shet every time we have a bad game. It's pointless.

People keep saying it's all mental, well some players never get the mental part down. He looks like crap out there. Jumper looks the same. No defense.

One wonders how much longer Ingram can play like this with no repercussion before the locker room starts to turn on Luke. Or at the very least start tuning him out. Inconsistent coaches don't last long.

What makes Popovich special is that when he says something, he means it, and nobody gets special treatment. Luke says something, but gives out special treatment. "This applies to everyone BUT" goes nowhere fast with a young team.

Luke had an opportunity to apply that and make an example out of Ingram, but he didn't, and punished other people that worked hard. It's not hard to understand why he's losing some guys.

One wonders if he actually notices it. We'll see.

All I can say is if the plan of two max FA doesn't pan out this coming summer, this team would've taken a big step backward. And for FAs to come, Ingram needs to at least show some flashes, if he continues to struggle like this, no top tier FAs in their right mind would leave a better situation for this trainwreck.

He'll improve but he's not an NBA caliber starter at this point in his career.

Ingram may be an NBA starter. But he's not a "1st/2nd option on offense" NBA starter. No.. THAT GUY is in Brooklyn now.

Well, maybe not pointless until the mistake is recognized. I do sympathize with going ham on it and not wanting to hear about it though. I wouldn't either.

No touch, very little skills, no athleticism, no shooting.

Am I being too pessimistic? I don't think he'll be a bust but I'm seeing next to nothing.

The thing is inconsistency would make sense if you have Tim Duncan. But Ingram isn't that. Clearly. But honestly, our problems are far beyond whether or not Ingram starts or not. It's deeper than that. It goes back to why I panned Byron. Byron was a purported defensive coach and consistently rolled out dismal defensive teams that were simply disorganized on principles. Luke, a purported offensive coach, rolls out the worst possible offensive lineup and we're totally disorganized unless Jordan Clarkson who, terrifyingly enough, is our best shot creator, creates something on offense.

True. The other side of it is, that after all the people who relished in every little thing Russell did wrong while intentionally ignoring everything he did right despite that GT, or Omar or Mike (@) LG told them. The reality may be setting in and some of those who were right the entire time may feel the need to point that out to the people who ignored facts and progress because they wanted to be right.

And Ingram is going to get the bad end of that. particularly considering how he was protected last season (usually by those very people on the other end of the spectrum as well).

Ceiling: Tayshaun Prince. We'd be lucky if he even reaches Tayshaun Prince level because at this point, we can probably find a G-League talent who can play better than him with what he has shown so far.
