Holy freaking crap can SOMEBODY freaking reel this kid in for [expletive]s sake! |
That stubbornness is what scares me. It's even scarier if the coaching staff is reinforcing this. |
I wouldn't characterize it as stubbornness, nor would it scare me when it's clearly obvious he's been instructed to do exactly what he's doing out there.
Clakrson just stated he also intends to stay very aggressive. You guys are focused on the wrong things.
Their on court play and habits are encouraged by the coaching staff.
If they told him to focus more on facilitating.. That's what he would do.

Will gladly take some vaguely articulated off-court shenanigans for some actual on-court production. |

Just seems like common sense to me.. The on court production is a result of the off court preparation. Off court preparation is dictated by the coaching staff. |

Ingram was really unproductive last year and I thought there was a lot of patience because of how young he was but it seems like he is being expected to step up all of a sudden.
They might need to spend time developing him physically before we can really tell what role he is best suited for. |

Not many, a few times I believe he did that jab step with no movement long two, maybe it was once, but that and that attempt where he just threw it at the backboard were shots I felt he wasn't in a good position to make.
I think my main problem is that he doesn't finish inside strong, maybe it was just against the Clippers but I would like to see him try to finish above the rim a few times. |

Wow you gotta be kidding me Ingram! Those shots you were taking last night were bad. Stop trying to be a iso scorer and go back to what you were doing the 2nd half of last season.
This kid was moving the ball, making the right reads, and then picking his spots to explode to the rim. This year he's looking like a 11 year old Ricky Davis. |

What I fear is Magic looks at these young prospects through the prism of his own experience, as if every top pick should be a top 5 GOAT player like him or get out. A leader. A scorer. A passer. Everything. I mean there’s a reason why he was one of the best ever (and my favorite athlete ever). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I imagine some things are difficult to understand in others when you are probably the most naturally gifted person to ever play your sport. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

Magic forgets he was playing with the arguable GOAT and the best center of all time the moment he came into the league.
What happened with Magic is the equivalent of if LeBron was drafted by the Lakers right after their 98-99 season. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Yup. I think he expects young prospects to be ready to lead at 19-20 like he was. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

It's painful to watch for sure, but I'm happy to see Ingram to continue to be aggressive. The one thing that would worry me most is if he recoiled and wasn't being a factor out there. Have to believe if he keeps working the shots will start to fall and he will learn instinctively what a good shot is. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

Ingram is the worst defender on the Lakers roster. |
