Our offense is just a mess. As a coach if someone comes out with 12 in the first quarter..I would make sure to point out to the team..hey let's feed the guy who seems to have an advantage.
Another thing I think contributes to Ingrams lack of consistency.
Luke will literally play him the whole first quarter. Then sit him out for a long time and then bring him back with like 4-5 min in the second. Pretty dumb IMO
Hot first quarter. Gets barely any looks after. Offense should be ran through him and Kuzma. Stop letting Lonzo and KCP dribble
yes agreed. I want to see Ingram as point forward. Run him through tons of screen and rolls/pick and pops, with Kuzma as the screener.
I think they were trying it out again after pretty much stopping last season. If Ingram can become a successful point forward in this league other teams better watch out. He has the vision. I've seen it quite a few times. And putting the ball in his hands makes will prevent him from disappearing for chunks at a time.
I can't complain where our two young forwards are *right now*...they're slowly rising to the top as possible cornerstones and if they keep up what they've done the past 2 games we will be looking good
Vs sixers they combined for 50 points and 18 boards, tonight 47 points 18 boards...now they're not gonna do that all the time but shows their potential and at least gives us something to enjoy on this team right now

At times I've felt our half court offense has run better in his hands. This is in major part due to the fact defenses now have to respect his ability to drive to the basket. I'd really like to see this explored more. In fact, let Lonzo run fast breaks but if not there have him give it to BI and just let BI run the half court. Let him and kuz do some two man game and when defenses start sending extra defenders at them...that's when others can have some fun,

To put it in perspective... In the real world, both would still be college kids. Let that sink in. These guys are YOUNG!
Ingram was 7/17 tonight, but there were three possessions where he missed a shot, got the rebound, and missed the put back attempt. So really, 7/14 is more representative of his efficiency tonight.
I think he played really well, but he doesn't get the ball enough. It's seems like he barely touched the ball in the second half. I'd really like to see him placed on-ball more. His bball handling is much improved, and he's looking really good in pick and roll. He might be ready for another point-forward experiment. I think we should actually run the offense through Ingram in the half court, and play Lonzo off ball.
Good point, I've been calling for this. Luke needs to find a way to get him more involved on offense, especially in the 2nd half. _________________ My Dream Starting 5 next Season

BI misses a lot of putback attempts like somebody just mentioned earlier in this thread really messing with his FG%.
Plus there are times when he drives, gets contact but doesn't have enough strength/weight/size to absorb and finish. Definitely looking to see that improve as he gets older and puts on some strength/weight.
I’m definitely happy to see Ingram’s improved play over the last two games. However, we’ll know he’s growing when he has a terrible first half like kuz last night, but turns it on in the 2nd half. He’s gotta Continue working on his mid range game, therefore, he won’t be too predictable. Let’s go get Denver.
Although he still can't really influence the game much, I'm glad he doesn't look like type of players who with good stat but lack of impact to the game.
He need time to develop his strength and to polish and his scoring skills. But his ceiling could be very high.
If the Lakers get a superstar or two Brandon is going to benefit because space will open up on his dribble drives _________________ How can I get a copy of a Laker game played on Sunday, March 11, 2001 Sonics/Lakers? If you know PM me please

One thing that has always stood out for me is this kid is really tough for a dude that skinny. Attacks the basket without hesitation (maybe too much lol), seeks contact, doesn't miss many games with injuries, etc. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

Only if we get a superstar that is a marksman from the outside and doesn't like to operate in the same spots BI does. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

Ingram hasn't hit a 3 in two weeks.
That's great news.. he has been able to be effective without having a 3pt shot. Imagine when he's able to actually shoot from beyond the arc with some accuracy.
