Gonna get ridiculed but Im calling it now. Ingram will be a superstar. A lot of people on LG and even "analysts" refer to him as weak and don't think he will fill out much without understanding muscle hypertrophy or development. He looks skinnier than he actually is due to his long limbs. 16 inch arms for example would look ridiculously massive on anyone under 6'0 with proportional limb length. On someone 6'5+ they would look like they lift but it wouldnt stand out due to the muscle insert being stretched out over longer the longer limb. Because of this, it takes a lot longer for a longer limbed person to visually pack the same amount of muscle than a shorter guy even if they have equal strength gain. Perhaps this explains why Ingram looks a lot stronger this year than last even though he still looks skinny. He has a similar frame to rookie Giannis along with his broad shoulders although Giannis had slightly more muscle definition. That could just be attributed to Ingram being a late bloomer though, who knows. Regardless I feel that he will get a lot bigger. Once he's filled his frame he will be a nightmare driving to the rim. He was a shooter in college so I have faith he will get a consistent jumper/ 3 pointer. If that ever happens
Following up from this, he does have a really solid frame. Someone like KD has really long biceps, narrow shoulders and small hands. Brandon's wingspan is all shoulders, forearms and hands. It's hard to tell behind all the ink but he's already starting to fill out. You can really see it up close. He doesn't look weak at all.
I was watching Magic Johnson's Connected, and they showed clips of Ingram in like 4k super HD, and he still looked really skinny. Def more filled out than last year, but still not an ideal amount of size on those arms for a skinny guy. Coupled with that, he has no weight in his core and legs, this is where Durant stores his weight - he came into the league at 220lbs and is 235 now..
6'9 a tick under 200lbs is not a solid frame, not close
I'm telling you man..you have to see him up close and personal. It's clear as day. Like seeing a puppy with huge paws, you can just see the foundation. And yea his whole arm is long but his biceps are more proportional than KD's. KD's super long biceps are what keep him from looking muscular. Ingram LOOKS strong and much of his wingspan is spread across his back and into his shoulders giving him more of a jacked look. In about 2 years you won't be able to recognize him. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points."

Kobe's Per 36 Minutes at Age 20:
18.9 PPG (54.9% TS), 5.0 RPG, 3.6 APG, 1.4 SPG, 0.9 BPG
Ingram's Per 36 Minutes at Age 20:
17.3 PPG (51.7% TS), 5.9 RPG, 3.1 APG, 0.9 SPG, 0.8 BPG
... and I think Ingram's numbers will look even better by the end of the year. This is just through 25 games. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service
based from the picture above, KD doesn't have small hands, but his hands is more "webbed" than normal which makes his fingers "shorter" than what they should have been (if that makes any sense) which makes it harder to grip the basketball.

It's still more beneficial than having small hands, he can still guide the ball with one hand on his dunk - opposed to someone like Julius Randle, who can't consistently dunk with one hand

Yea Ingram does have more of a muscular structure type of look. Although someone like Giannis can actually put a lot of muscle on that structure, while Ingram just can't.
Also a very good description of his wingspan, Manlisten
He's got wide shoulders( it's why he used to have a complete side of the head jumpshot form, like Mo Bamba as well) They both have wide shoulders/backs as well as long arms

"Big paws on a puppy." That reminds me of Marlo talking about Michael in The Wire.

Na, look at his hands, they're not even gripping/grasping the ball, at all - there's some sticky stuff on the ball or it's photoshopped. On TWC little Laker-hype commercials there's Julius Randle doing that too, and we all know he can't palm the ball. But really, Ingram isn't even grasping the ball in that photo, you can't palm a ball without using your thumb.. And he doesn't palm the ball in games

If they were gonna do that, why'd Durant have to do it this way?
Also could swear I've seen Jules palm the ball before at times in the post when overseeing the defense. Not often but I'm sure I've seen him do it. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Then why is Randle palming two balls in the TWC commercial? Maybe it's a Laker thing
He's not even grasping the ball, you can't palm a ball without using your thumb.. I don't even think Kawhi could do that , lol, it kind of defies physics

“Right now, I’m mainly focused on doing the things I do well. Of course, there are some days where I’ll just go in and work on my jumper. I think my jumper has some catching up to do, but I feel comfortable with it. Sometimes, I’ll feel good in practice and it doesn’t translate to the game, so I just need to feel more comfortable going into games and be able to shoot it.”
This doesn't make an ounce of sense to me.. I actually got annoyed reading it, and I'm really rooting for him to do well.
I don't understand why his shooting wouldn't be a priority during practice.
So nice things have been relatively quiet over her on the Ingram thread.
No more sarcastic "Mr. Untouchable" comments.
No more screw Magic for trading the wrong dude.
No more show me just one NBA skill from Ingram.
No more send him to the G-League.
No more tell me something Ingram does good offensively.
No more this kid hasn't improved since last season.
No more bust talk.
I'm glad people are understanding this kid is 20 and he's gonna look bad sometimes, but it's the flashes that keep the believers going. Kobe had times where he struggled early on too, but people just don't remember them. Then by the time he was jacking up every shot that touched his hands, he was so gassed by Laker fans that he could do no wrong. I'm thinking Ingram will eventually be loved by Laker fans in a similar fashion that Kobe was. To the point where if he took unadvised shots he will still be forgiven.
