GT has got me hooked like a junkie. I feel like a druggie wanting crack or an NBA fan who refreshes twitter every second during trade deadlines and summer free agency.

I wonder where the sudden confidence in his perimeter shot came from? Seems like just a few weeks ago he would avoid taking it unless the shot clock was winding down. Maybe it's a good thing he struggled early with the long jumpers because he's developed a nice looking pull up mid-range in addition to finishing at the rim with both hands.
Wherever it came from I hope it never leaves. He looks like he's on a new level when he's knocking those down. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant

I think he just began to realize how dominant he is driving to the rim that he forgot he can knock down the 3pt shot as well. He's shooting 35% from 3 this year.. he can make them. Guess it took the rough night against the Knicks to remind him that he has to take those jumpers as well in order to become a dynamic player on the offensive end.
Hopefully the confidence to at least take the 3s stays. I don't think he's been confident that he can make them..last night was his first night of shooting as many open looks as he should. He was 31% before last night -- really shows you that he needs to take more before we can even know what level shooter he is right now. Before last night, zero shooting improvement was evident compared to last year, he was up 1.5% on .8 less attempts.
Great vid. I didn't get to see the game, but you're right, it looks like he turned some corner with those quick dishes you showed. And he's cutting off the ball more too. I hope he continues to play like that. I hope the whole team plays like that.
Baby Groot is now shooting 35% from beyond the arc this season.
His TS% is also the exact same 51.8% that Russell's was last year. He's scoring relatively efficiently by age despite being a poor free throw shooter and attempting a tiny volume of threes.
He's going to be a really good player when he improves his free throw and three point shooting.
Here's what I'd like to see from him by the end of the year (per 36 Min.): 18.0 PPG (54.0% TS), 6.5 RPG, 4.0 APG, 1.0 SPG, 1.0 BPG, 2.5 TO. To get there, he'd have to average something like 18.5 PPG, 7 RPG, 4.5 APG while shooting a nice % from 3 and the FT line over the rest of the year. Doable but not easy. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service
Ingram was great last game, should have shot it more. I do think BI has a little Kobe in him, mindset wise. I was against it and still am to a certain degree. But I can see this kid taking a major leap in his iso game next season.
