Not in a good way though.

It was a 35-40% shot for Kobe. What do you think it is for Brandon?

2-9 22%?

Thanks for answering my rhetorical question with the actual answer

Yeah, it was a terrible shot. Took longer to release than Kobe's. But we are talking about Kobe here. One of the best to ever do it. He should keep at it. That could be an unstoppable shot for Ingram someday.

I love the play where he drove and layed it off to Randle for the dunk, that was nice. They have to get this guys a jumpshot though. He's going to need to shoot about 4-5 3's a game down the road. Can't wait to see who they hire this summer to fix these guy's shots.

I'm slightly concerned about BI's motor and aggressiveness, we all know he's by no means soft but he just seems like one of those guys who's too smooth and sort of floats out there. If that's mental I'm not sure it's something age and experience can fix.

Hoping it's just him having a high basketball IQ and knowing his skills aren't polished enough to demand the ball on a regular basis yet. He's definitely shown flashes where his physical advantages are too great for anyone to stop him from getting what he wants around the rim, sadly those stretches end as suddenly as they start.

Got to give this guy more love and time. He is just 20, long and skilled. He has not yet matured to his body, we know at the moment that he can get to the hole very well. If he can get a consistent jumper, he will be trouble. This current All Star cast, George, Harden, Butler, Klay, Giannis, Cousin & Curry did not get to 20 ppg until there 4th yr, Kawhi, Derozan, Aldridge & Oladipo on there 5th yr. I think we as Lakers fan get to impatient and keep forgetting how young BI is. The more the game slow down for him and the more consistent his jumper get we have an all star potential in our hand. Hope we as Laker fan just stay patient. I didn't say BI in untradable, but u need to get players back close to his age also like Wiggins, Porz and Booker to name a few.

Simply moving away from "contested 17-footer" as Plan A would do wonders for the kid.

Well technically that was probably planB since we all know in the back of his mind he REALLY just wants to drive. I swear it seems like shooting a basketball is an unnatural act to this dude sometimes.

He's stated that he really is working on establishing a proper shooting form and unless he can get that shot off, he strays away from it. Ironically, by trying to avoid the formation of one bad habit (poor form), he's sort of engendering the creation of another (incessant driving). So long as he maintains vision, however, I don't have too much of a problem with it. Once Ball is back, I think we'll see BI going back to shooting spot ups and face up J's.

Otherwise, I think the combined pressure he feels to create along plus him avoiding his shot leads more often than not to bad basketball from the Slim Reefer.

Sure, but keep that in practice for now
I think there was a good amount of time on the clock left, which is what rubbed me the wrong way. It's a good fallback move with time winding down.

He's still not as fast as he was pre-injury.. Not much bounce either. Hopefully it's not a lingering issue, one he can play through while recovering.

Haha yeah. But he looks slow and has no lift at all on offense. But if he's putting effort on defense that's fine.

No excuses. If your injured don't play.

He does so many other things besides scoring, so its good for him to be out there. But what shouldn't happen is him trying to be Kobe.
Just run the floor, share the ball and play D.

Even tho he's not finishing. Him attacking the basket and putting pressure on the defense resulted in a hart and Randle putback. So still a factor out there.

Block on kyries three as well. 9 assists too and a couple that to Kuzma.

So overall still ok. Just need to get healthy

No one's making any excuses.. It's pretty obvious he's a step slow. With that being said I wouldn't play him right now.

Way too much ball stopping from him

And running away from posting up midgets for an elbow turnaround jumper?

I'm disappointed with BI's play last few games, but switching him onto Kyrie was a good move that we can use from time to time.

He's clearly hobbled.. I wouldn't expect much until he's healthy.

He needs to work on his jumper and not dribble so much. In time he too will be a beast. The future is bright.
