Umm how bout we use the stats from his actual NBA career.. Instead of the one that helps with our narrative..

62% first year.. 68% second year..

thanks..that's a horrible free throw percentage.

Well yea.. but the point is he's improving, and there's no valid reason one could give to suggest he won't continue to improve.

Was there really anyway he could decline?

This is why I say the commentary in here get's odd if Ingram doesn't play for a while.. There's more to come I'm sure.

So Ingram is the future of the team as originally posted?

Meditate on that statement you made..

You say he has the most potential out of a very talented group of young men.. and follow up with "that's about it".. lol

What in the world do you take ”future” to mean? A HOFer or something? Every player that comprises the young core is ”the future.” They're developing. That's what that means. A six percent jump in free throw percentage is a good thing, is it not? He improved in virtually every statistical category across the board. You're being irrationally presumptuous.

I don't think anyone else would.. but some of the logic you communicated prior to you expressing not crying over losing him for KL was a bit odd.

Hes an improving player, but hes not the future and if the right package for KL comes around involving him it should be considered.

When "the future" is referenced as being untouchable in a KL trade, i expect a lot.

Your original post is the only one that even mentioned Kawhi. It's like you walked into a bar and decided to shout a bunch of random things for absolutely no reason. It's just weird.

Why else wouldn't Ingram be here at the beginning of the season if i wasn't referring to a KL trade ?

The old never assume....

Here are Ingram's Synergy numbers by Play Type. Let me know if you have any specific requests. (jumpers when his defender goes under the PnR, post ups from the left block, etc.

Wait GT can you give a break down of the spotup numbers? I wonder how much is him excelling at attacking closeouts versus hitting open spotup jumpers

His spot up stats are very encouraging.

I hope Luke realizes iso Ingram is not the way to go anymore.

So he was about average on catch & shoot Spot Ups, and then absolutely killed it when attacking closeouts, whether it was a one-dribble pull-up or going all the way to the basket.

All the more reason for him to not pass up those catch & shoot attempts next season. If he's a threat, it opens up opportunities for him to do some things that he's already very good at.

Do you have the numbers for BI once he took over the point guard duties? Once he seemed much more comfortable with the ball in his hands? I'd like to see if there was much difference from earlier in the year when he was really struggling.
