Few things.

I like his defensive effort so far this year. Probably has been the best part of his game.

He needs to start hitting threes.

I think Luke sits him for too long of periods

He usually sits with 3 min in the 1st/3rd and doesn’t return until half way through the 2nd and 4th.

Also he started off shooting well but didn’t shoot again till the 3rd.

I get the offense and he won’t be given many iso opportunities, but there are way too many times where rondo is over dribbling or we are force feeding freakin Javale.

I think maybe not getting so many touches could also have led to his anger.

Who knows. He has a lot of growing up to do. Good lesson tonight for him.

Looks to me like Ingram whiffed on his punch, but bellying up to the ref prior to that is not a good look in combination with throwing the punch. League may come down on him more because of that. But that series of events is likely going to cost him.

This early in the season none the less. Now we test our depth. Kuz, you’re up. BI, love the aggression. Did absolutely nothing wrong in the situation. One thing however, teams will try to play on the perceived short temper, Luke needs to approach BI from that perspective. Be cognizant of the mind games players use to keep you off the court. Lesson that can only be learned in a real situation. Thankfully it’s at the beginning of the season and not in the playoffs. No JR Smith’s on this team, boys. Be smarter.

loving the no taking (bleep) from BI in the game, looked to me that he took an elbow from harden and wasn't happy with it.

Probably between 5 and 10. Doesn't have history so it could help...

Props for sticking up with his teammates. He has a dog in him . Disappointed though that he let his emotions got the best of him with Harden. Next time he need to do his own oayback elbowing that flopper when no refs is looking.

Yup, that would be a smarter way to send a message to the flopper. BI will learn from this.

yeah, hopefully so. getting your opponent tossed is a win; we lost 2 starters
they lost 1. and Harden is not going to stop baiting players, it's his thing.

Hey GT. Besides Houston apparently “picking on him”

Do you think BI is frustrated by his Minutes/lack of touches? Or if he’s the type of player to be frustrated by that kind of thing.

I think you pointed out he didn’t shoot the whole 2nd quarter and until mid way through 3rd.

It seems like he thinks and wants to be able to score. But his role has changed (which it should) with Lebron and Rondo now here.

I just notice he’s had way less touched (which was expected) and Luke also sits him for long periods of between during end of 3rd beginning 4th.

Anyone get the feeling that he's just been itching for a fight for 2 years now, saw an opening last night, and just went for it? I don't like what he did after the initial push because that was just him being emotional/childish and not thinking about what it's gonna cost the team, but I don't mind the push one bit. As annoying as it is to watch Harden play for us, it must me 100x that when you're actually playing against that (bleep). Second Laker to take a shot at him in the last 7 years

You know what? I'm okay with it, but just this once. BI has a reputation for being quiet, calm, cool, although we've seen instances where he's been angry (that scuffle against the Bucks a few years ago is one example). This could very well be the impetus for playing up to his potential. He has fight in him that could help him reach greater heights. He just has to channel it in such a way. Kobe was great at doing this, although everyone remembers his physical altercations with Chris Childs and Reggie Miller early in his career. BI will evolve. I believe in him.

That's my impression too. I think frustrations boiled over for him last night and it wasn't just about Houston and the refs.

Hopefully it’s not perceived as selfish..

He just needs to learn how to channel his anger and aggression in a smarter way. He'll learn. The Mamba was a master at this.

I've never had any concern about his mentality. He's a tough kid and he had the respect of his teammates and the Lakers' organization well before last night. My concerns with him have always been entirely skills related. He's gonna need to learn how to shoot if he wants to get volume alongside LeBron James.
