Ya. AD dreams died after trade deadline. And I'm glad they did. There are better FAs than him THIS offseason. And we could add those guys AND still have Ingram (and the rest of our young core). |
One would think that. But I have no doubt Magic will be chasing AD again this summer. My plan A has always been to get that 2nd max, keep the YUTES, and if necessary, trade for a 3rd all star. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

It's only relevant in the sense that I think Magic is going to go back to that AD well again, and might even punt a season for him.
BI's showing signs that he may be worth keeping long term. I really wish there was a way to get both. |
I don't think Pelicans will trade AD to us in any circumstance.
And who knows how healthy Bron is in 2020. I really hope Magic isn't dumb enough to punt another season after this one.
I think the AD dream is dead. Long live Bambi (Ingram). _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Yeah, I don't think they will either, but it won't stop the Lakers from going down that path again. I just don't want another punt team next year. Go all in with these guys and let them grow a bit. If we nab that 2nd all star, I hope we can start stabilizing the roster a bit. Too much turnover. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I am afraid if we trade BI it's going to be one of those nightmarish trades that comes back to haunt us for many years to come.
He's one reliable pull-up J away from being nearly un-stoppable, let alone 3 pointer. And we know at least one of those will come. He's ONLY 21 YEARS OLD and not physically mature yet. |

I'll say it again...Magic doesn't want to be known as the one that traded Brandon |

I have been saying since he was drafted. Future hall of famer. Do not trade Bi, even for Ad. I believe next year is when it will click for Ingram. I believe his outside J will come along and he will be an allstar next season, no matter who he plays for. _________________ The great Laker Center Tradition continues.....Mikan, Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, Gasol, AD....Gasol. |

I'm just not sure that he will be a volume 3 point shooter. His inclination is to drive and when he's locked in, that's his bread and butter. Hopefully he can be a 3-3.5 3PA level guy down the road, but doesn't seem comfortable with the 3 ball at all this year. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

You tripping. BI is a better defender, better rebounder, offensively plays more in control, shoots at a higher percentage.... How in the world do you see Wiggins in BI?

Always like this kid. My favorite player after Kobe. We should keep him whoever we acquire this summer.
Nowadays not so many players dare to go into the basket, glad he is one of them although his thin frame. |

Like I said, BI will be an All-Star and at the very least as good as DLO. Zo if healthy will be better than BI, Kuz, DLO, and Randle. |

Last night was the first night I can remember where I felt "safer" with the ball in Ingram's hands... like we could rely on him to do the right thing and make plays. He's had games that were that good before, but its the first time I can recall having that feeling with him. He was the best player on our team last night, especially considering his impact on D as well.
Rondo and Lebron may have playoff versions of themselves, but we're seeing January-April version of BI now. I bet he keeps getting better. Just stay healthy Brandon. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

There were a couple of clunky turnovers he had in the 4th, but I get what you're saying. He and LBJ should basically run the offense.
That play where Rondo had a wide open 3 and decided to not take it and then turned it over...those are the head scratching plays that a veteran like Rondo should not be making. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Was so happy for this kid last night, hopefully it is a breakthrough and we can see more of that.
Now if he goes out and does 11/5/5 next game but we win I don't want to here any gripes seriously.
We do need to see more of that Im not passing the ball to Lebron immediately on missed shots and bringing the ball up.
Even the time when he looked at Lebron, Lebron was calling and BI was like nope. He tried to attack and then then was like alright you take it (still wish he would of took it to the hole, the lane looked kind of open (maybe Capela was back there?). He looked upset he had to pass it to Lebron. All LBJ did was jack up an exhausted three point miss. |

I think people are finally seeing BI as a potential defensive stopper. He's guarding the team's top PGs now (CP3, Kyrie, etc.). Finally starting to put together that insane length to cut off passing angles. He'll usually get beat at the point of attack b/c of his high and narrow hips, but he makes the right adjustments now. Really proud of the work he's putting on defense right now. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I'm more for Zo and Ingram. I like Kuzma, but he would be my odd man out if it had to be. Just keep all three really. When we make the playoffs it will do wonders for their confidence. This is a prep season. Even if we have to sign a "healthy" Cousins this offseason. I see it being difficult to trade the house for AD and be a winner in the end. |
