Brandon Ingram had his blood clot removed earlier in the week, and today's surgery was done to ensure blood flow, league sources said. The structural issue in his arm was addressed for full recovery and no recurring issues. |

This news is as good as signing a top FA or winning the draft lottery...
I’m so happy for BI and I’m glad he has a long NBA career ahead of him. |

Quote: | UPDATE: Brandon Ingram underwent successful thoracic outlet decompression surgery on his right arm today. The procedure was performed by Dr. Hugh Gelabert at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
Ingram is expected to make a full recovery prior to the start of next season. |

Glad to hear, but he was always expected to make a full recovery. The question is if this is a one off or will this be a reoccurring issue. A second one would be career and life threatening. Either case get well soon. |

This gives us more flexibility in terms of trade assets, but I don’t think BI is gonna get traded, it will be Kuzma and Zo. |

It's not a clotting issue in the blood, rather structural compression likely from a rib that causing decreased blood flow in that area resulting in the clot. That is the best case scenario. |

You know what, this news makes me very happy. Blood clots are so serious. It really puts this season in perspective and I hope it humbles a lot of people out there.
There is more to life than just basketball.
Hoping Ingram comes back stronger than ever.
I am sure he was humbled by this.
it puts a pause to all the negativity around this season. Happy BI got this handled by the best in the business. Speedy recover to him!! |

This was a day surgery I presume ...

Nothing in life is guaranteed, but you do understand the difference based on cause?
If he had clotting issues, his career would basically be over. |
