That'd be interesting. If the two people the Lakers traded away cause "we need another all-star here with LeBron" wound up becoming all-stars right after.

The biggest problem in LA right now is they refuse to think for one second that any all-star can be bread from their own drafts.

If BI continues the tear he was on last year, the Lakers will be regretting it. Particularly if AD leaves.

This trade says a lot about how the Lakers feel about young players. I can see the Lakers having trouble scheduling workouts for top college prospects should they find themselves in position to get another one with the same FO in place.

BI is not going to be be better than AD
Lonzo is not going to be better,

but the two together + Lebron or even AD next year could be your spurs with
Kawhi, Duncan, Ginobili, Parker maybe even better

Ok BI... you are the key to the Pels. Be aggressive. There’s no one to tell you sht. Go out and get what is yours. We will regret trading you. You will always be a franchise foundation. Stay healthy, and we’ll see you in the playoffs. Do good young man. Stay focused, and watch that diet. I believe in you.

God speed young drippa. Loved the kid since he's been drafted and it was immensely satisfying watching him take baby steps along the way, BI didn't back down for nobody! Lebron tried to trade him and he responded by turning into an absolute beast. Don't think I've been as invested in a young Laker's growth since Kobe.

No doubt this trade is even more motivation for BI to take the next step. He's not far away from becoming a monster that'll forever make us regret choosing Kuzma over him.

Doesn't seem like a great fit. And Ingram seems to want to be the man, I wonder how he'll feel about taking a backseat to a rookie.

I don't think it was ever just about getting anyone who ever made an All-Star team. After all, Jamal Magloire, Mo Williams, and some other nothing special players made all-star teams because they were in the right circumstances at the right time. It's more about the amount of talent you need to win.

Did not want to see this young star leave at all.. Seemed like a Real True Competitor and high skilled high intelligence and deep passion to kick your ass

Watching him takeover games when we needed scoring was a foretelling

I remember reading about Kobe picking his calendar for when it is best to really attack a team..Dude just loved to go out there try to take on whole teams.. No complaint.. he wanted it..

Pointing out their back to backs against maybe a tough team and we are the 2nd night.. POW sweep the leg

Amyhow.. I see a really great future for BI... He has a real killer instinct

Were the Pelicans really giving us a choice between Kuzma and Ingram? Dumb move to choose to keep Kuzma over Ingram if so.

Yuge contract differences from my understanding

Kusma is on the hook for two more years low cost allowing a 3rd superstar?

^^From what I remember reading in the lounge threads.. iirc etc

But Ingram is still on his rookie contract this offseason, so why would that have mattered?
