I think that's the main problem he's having right now. He needs to be willing to let them fly a bit more. His finishing has been solid but if he's not willing to take jumpers guys will back off him.

the key is shooting the same way every time. his jumpers gonna be feast or famine until this is fixed.

At least he echoed what everyone is saying here in the post-game interview, and the coaching staff is on the same page. Keep shooting, and if it doesn't fall, affect the game in other ways. That's basically the mantra he needs to live by this season.

Correct.

Right now, as strange as it sounds, his form reminds me of Dennis Rodman shooting from the floor (Detroit Worm era)

It looks to me like they've changed his shot a lot in the last year. He used to have this low release that didn't take advantage of his length. It may just be that it will take a year before he gets his touch to line up with the new form.

He also doesn't appear to have put on the type of muscle you would hope after a year of professional training. Could be a physical limitation, could be something else.

Most guys this young just take years to develop.

Unfortunately he was selected as 2nd pick so organization is pressured in starting him. Honestly, he should be coming off the bench. When Nance comes back I would consider nance starting at the 4 and Kuzma at the 3. Let him play against the 2nd string. Dude is a mental midget right now...btw the lakers should consider signing kuzminskas and drop Ennis.

What constitutes "mental midget"?

Like what areas of his game specifically speak mental midget?

He's been good defensively and great on the break. Just needs to gain confidence in that jumper and he's going to be a handful.

Maybe the upcoming matchup against Simmons will wake him up. If he doesn't get it together, he's gonna get destroyed. Simmons is just on cruise control right now...

It's hard to tell beneath all the tatts but he looks like he's shaping up physically. I've always thought he was more KG than KD as far as his physique.

I guess some people don't realize how hard the NBA is. Especially for a 19/20 year old.

Hmm.... That sounds like a good thing, doesn't it? Several rings, 6th Men of the Year. Good teammate. Starter for US national team. Borderline all-star. Nice comparison.

I donít remember his jumper being this stagnant last season as a rookie.

Or maybe it wasnít under the spotlight as much with DLO taking majority of the big shots?

Iím not sure why I need to clarify anything to you... this is a sports blog, donít take what I said to be personal or serious. I like BI.

Lamar was great and should of played in like at least 3-4 all star games imo.

Getting caught smoking weed early in his Clippers days and then he kind of half assed his play during his transition to the Heat and then his early years as a Laker killed his chances.

Lamar from 2008-2011 was a straight up killer though and should of been in the All Star game all of these years. I think the NBA board of governors didnít like his Kardashian reality tv connection tbh.

As for Brandon I still hope and believe he will be better than LBoogie

Lamar had nice handles. He could be trusted with the ball. I get nervous when BI is handling it.
