without Lonzo and against a top wing defender in PG. I really wanna see BI come out with a strong game. It'll really show how far he's come.

I’m agreeing with your take, unless you are pissed off at me.. then I won’t bother.

It's not like he's completely turned the corner.. What are we going to do.. go back to dumping on him if he doesn't have a stellar performance?

He still has quite a bit of development ahead of him, more games where he struggles ahead of him.. I think the most important thing is him showing overall growth. And he's doing that.

The style of play is encouraging no matter what .. making the right reads. Even if his 3pt shot regresses (I think it will) he's still can play well

I agree, I just don't think this one game should be used to judge how far he's come.

ok sorry. just pumped to see how he does without lonzo and against PG13. He didn't do so well last time. I'm hoping he bounces back and has a strong game.

Yea he definitely struggled.. So much so he actually looked defeated, PG took his aggression away. Like he just figured he couldn't score on him.

I think he'll have a much better game if he continues to do what he's been doing the last couple of weeks, and that's work to get open prior to receiving the pass.

Some guys he's just not going to be able to work over, one on one at this stage of his development.. PG is not that guy lol.. He may get a few on him but the best thing for him is to work off ball, and utilize his teammates for back cuts and screens.

I'm encouraged with the progress.. I may have even been wrong in thinking he was two seasons away from being consistently good.

That NBA.com article is great. It really explains a lot regarding BI's lack of threes. That said, it still doesn't explain his horrible FT shooting =P

I love that BI is using a guy Durant credits a lot of success too - I'm trying not to get too hyped though as Durant was a much better shooter coming into the league than BI. How awesome would it be if BI became a 50/40/90 guy though. It will be hard to get to 90% FT from 67% though...

People rag on Magic's lack of shooting, but the guy had 90% FT seasons.

He's shown improvement with his FT%.. He's up 7%.. just don't see how you can ask for much more. He's improving, and he doesn't need to get to 90%.

Said this in the game thread...BI has to be more impactful. When we've had injuries, and needed him to come through with big games, he usually hasn't. Not a good sign.

I'd sit him the rest of this game.. He's not moving with any purpose. Zero aggression and no burst, even his body language is off. Not sure if it's the ankle or being matched up against PG. If you're not giving 100 no point in being out there.

OKC defense is very keyed into BI and right now he lacks the moves and the PG to break free. is what it is at this point

this is a good game to use him as a decoy/passer/cutter, which has worked on a couple plays -- but, alas, that means the ball is probably in Ennis' hands
