I heard tonight that they're expecting this to be about a 2 week injury. Maybe a little shorter, maybe a little longer, but that about 2 weeks was the median. Won't know anything for sure until he's re-evaluated, but I thought you guys would like to know.

Thanks GT

I have feeling they are laying about his injury. I had similar injury few years ago and my recovery took less than a week. And I am not professional basketball player with UCLA Health center behind me. Just few regular doctors, icing and massage. Strange.

I don't know about lying.
But they are being very cautious as they should.
Groin injuries can linger. And if he reinjures it, that would be awful.

Thank you GT! Good to know what the feeling is among people who are around him. I'm a bit relieved if it's only around 2 weeks. Hope the re-evaluation confirms it's not longer.

Next 4 games against tough opponents are gonna suck, with some luck he's back in time for Miami in Staples. Winslow better mind that knee.

You probably don't put as much strain on your muscles as an NBA player. Also, not all strains are the same.

Well that settles it. Time to start massaging BI's groin. Mr. Miagi style.

That sounds about right (2-3 weeks) for grade 1 groin strain which is somewhat good news. I hate BI being out but I believe the groin strain is on the same leg (left) as the ankle that's been bothering him too.

I think his ceilling is really high because of his ability to get to the rack plus his 3pt shot has become money. A crazy wingspan doesn't hurt though

They were an astronomical longshot to begin with. We'd have to go on an incredible run and have at least 3 of the western teams ahead of us go on a slide.

I think we still have a shot due to the fact it is the end of the season so Teams will be resting and tanking.

Need to lean on JR and ball and have IT do some damage off the bench.

You can all of the tools in the world but it will mean nothing if you do not have the drive to work on your game and the smarts to see the floor- I think that ex-Laker Wesley Johnson fits that category to a T.

From all accounts BI is humble, hard working and most importantly coachable. That is why I have always thought he would have a bright future even when he was putting up bad numbers in his rookie year. Kid never got down on himslef and the coaching staff always reported that he worked hard and listened to what they had to say to him.

Lakers picking up Derrick Williams doesn’t bode well for a Sunday return for BI. Sounds like he might be out for a couple of weeks.

I mean Williams is a PF, while Ingram is a SF, had we signed a SF then I would agree
