IMO it is not flip flopping. He practiced and still had pain so they kept him out of the game. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

It’s definitely flip flopping before the road trip started everyone said he had sights on returning against Indiana then after he didn’t play against Indiana they said Thursday was a good possibility... the staff is fooling fans with there posturing BS |

IG, you should know the protocol by now. You have to go through a full practice first. The reason he didn't play against Indiana was because they ultimately decided to give the team the day off, which obviously makes sense because guys are playing a ton of minutes due to the injuries. So there was no flip-flopping going on at all. Don’t ever assume he could be back by a certain day if he hasn’t gone through a full, team practice with contact. If there's a report that he didn't practice, that automatically means he's out for the next game.
**And note that I said a team practice, not a private workout. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. And people who would be happy in heaven if Christ were not there, will not be there."

I worry the team won't practice due to the heavy minutes the starters have been playing lately, and so BI might be automatically ruled out again |

Bottom line is they're doing the right thing by not rushing him back before he is 100% good to go. We are not fighting for a playoff spot, so there is no need for him to play through pain. He'll get to play a few games before the season ends and hopefully help us win a couple of them. |

Not if he has to guard the opposing PG |
I’m much much more confident in Brandon Ingram’s defense continuing to improve because we’ve seen him continuously get better on all aspects of defense (and offense) throughout his progression.
Not too confident about Lonzo improving his shot yet. I’ve maintained this position all year which is that Ingram is clearly our most valuable prospect and will end up as the best player from this young core. |
Indeed.. |

No, but he will probably be our primary ball handler in half court sets, even if he is playing SF. No need to wear himself out chasing opposing PGs, he can still run the offense as a forward. When Lonzo was out, he still played SF with KCP and Hart at guard |

what the (bleep) man, this is such a buzzkill. Not sure why I was even expecting Ingram to play, I wonder if this has the possibility of going on until they just say he's done for the season |

Ugh...while JR has been great, I feel like every night is going to be an L since BI went out. It doesn't help that the Hitman is out too, but I think his absence vs Lonzo's has shown that our team with BI playing and Zo out is better than vice versa, though of course we are best with everyone healthy and playing. |

9 of the last 10 games have been against teams over .500, and they've played pretty well considering the injuries, but he'd have been enough to make them 6-4 rather than 4-6 in this stretch. |
Agreed, at the end of the game you can give it to BI and have him go attack the rim. It is when the ISO game comes in handy. |
Agreed that BI is probably our best option at the end of games, but he also really stabilizes the team before the 4th quarter. We miss him there too. Also Hart. IT has taken over a bit because he's the only guy on the team besides BI who can break down a set defense (which is weird, why can't more guys on the team do that?), but he seems to bring some chaos on the floor too. BI has developed into a very steady hand (comparatively). We also miss his long arms on defense. |

Why don't they just rule him out for the season? They're on that pace. The must practice before playing rule is just stupid and pointless. If they're cleared to play, why must they go through a practice first? |

When was Ingram (or any other injured player) cleared to play? And the reason they haven't ruled him out for the season is obviously because he's progressed enough that he's closer to being back than being out for the remaining 3 weeks of the season. It doesn't have to be one extreme (rushing back) vs the other (just completely shutting it down for the rest of the season). _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. I'm saying even if he was cleared to play by the doctors, he wouldn't play because they have a rule in place that the player must practice first. This late in the season, there are essentially no practices. |

Brandon Ingram participated in shootaround this morning in Memphis, but will not play in tonight’s game. He does continue to progress: he did 1-on-1 work on the court yesterday with assistant coaches and felt good today. Hope is he can do more tomorrow _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

^ Good to hear that he felt good today after 1:1 work yesterday. Maybe he'll beat Hart back onto the court yet. |

Sounds like there is a good chance he plays in Detroit if everything goes well with the trainers |

Great news can't wait to get BI back.
We're getting too reliant on the 3, need BI back to start pressuring teams in the paint again. |

We need BI to start shooting 5 3s a game. He can make them.
But you are right, we do need someone that can penetrate. |

If I had to guess, they’ll hold him out of the Detroit game and he will return for dalas. |
