Gives us something to look forward to next season.. with the addition of Kuz.

Say we only manage to acquire PG.. What would you think of a starting line up of..
Ball
Ingram
PG
Kuz
Randle..

That lineup works great for me! I am hoping Lebron doesn't come here. Too many miles on the body for a long term investment. Get PG this year and maybe someone else next year. Make haste slowly.

Lonzo had a sprained MCL. The idea that a sprained MCL was ever a day-to-day injury was silly. They did the same thing with Ingram. They knew that he was gonna be out for a while, but didn't release the information that way, so it wasn't reported that way. I don't get it.

Maybe rookie mistakes from the new Lakers PR director? They did just get rid of John Black

IIRC, John Black quit after the Jeannie Buss coup.

Ingram has had his share of problems with muscular issues this season. I'd prefer they'd shut him down so he can be at full speed for an offseason of conditioning and working on his game.

Year 3 must be year of the Kingram.

How many games has BI missed this year? Seems like quite a bit.

He's played on 57 games this year.

Lonzo/BI came into the NBA with underdeveloped frames. Big summer to strengthen their bodies as they've missed 15+ games each, and both are absolutely critical to this team.

Agreed. All that plus ticket sales are probably a bit better when there's at least some hope a team's dinged up stars might play that night as opposed to ruling them out completely for weeks at a time.

8 games how in the.....not fair

A lot of that has to do with Luke's refusal to start Randle at the beginning of the season. Otherwise that number would probably be higher.

Statistically it's our most effective starting lineup though.

We're going to be so good next year. Paul George comes and we're the most fun Laker team in 8 years, we will be crazy captivating

It’s the same as the Leonard situation, the Spurs released a vague description of his injury and people are left to either believe the worst case or best case.

I'd love it. Teams have typically liked to start the game with a bigger body at the 5 before going to "small ball", but I'd like to see a team try it from jump. I do think we'd be wise to have a big body on the roster (I'd be thrilled w/a Lopez return at the right price), but that's a phenomenal lineup IMO. Incredible ball handling and defensive potential.

I had my doubts about Julius playing full time center but after watching him battle AD and Gasol, I no longer have doubts.

I think its a natural thing to see a player being a 1 position player. For years people thought Lamar Odom could only be a SF and not a PF, that he would get pushed around, not be a good post defender or rebounder. Odom became an important PF piece in the Lakers last last title run.

Randle has looked like a PF, who doesn't have an outside shot, and is too small to play center against the big guys. But he is showing he can handle playing against larger and strong centers too. Which would make his lack of shooting easier to swallow if he played center.

Kuzma was thought to have his advantage if he stuck at PF, but he has shown at SF he can still get his against smaller and quicker players similar to Him.

This is why Jules/Brook works.

On offense, Brook can stretch the floor, allowing Jules to have room to operate without a center clogging the middle (see Jules + Hibbert/Moz).

On defense, Brook is guarding the center.

^from the last info I read he's going to miss the Detroit game too. Progressing but not there yet.

Still a good question who sees the court first, Hart or BI?

I know injuries are part of the game, but man, if we had a healthy BI/Hart/IT closing out the year, probably could get 40 wins which would be a shocker.

I have no doubt they would have hit 40. I was confident they could win just about any game. Now, they just don’t have the bodies to get it done...they miss Hart’s 2 way play and they miss Ingram’s decision making, late game execution and just the attention he commands from a defense which opens up things for the lakers.

Too bad but not surprised. This was an important anti-tank game and facing a depleted, tanking Grizz team with our remaining lineup was a struggle. Just have to hope we catch fire tonight and build a big early lead. I don't see us coming back from a 17 point deficit on this one.

By the end of the week, hopefully we'll have our entire lineup back.

That Vine with Kobe "soft" never gets old to me.

This is when all those close games and bad teams we lost to that we should’ve beat comes back to haunt. It’s part of the growing process tho

So he's been out for weeks because he got kneed really hard in the nuts?! Are they waiting for a ball to descend or something?

(I've honestly not read any real details on the injury. Is it just the groin?)

It's the groin, not his sack or dick or balls
