I want what this dude is smoking... Unless CHI was adding their lotto pick I wouldn't even consider it.

Yeah, that deal would clearly be in Chicago’s favor. Top6 pick and Ingram lol

I think the lakers allow randle to walk before they trade Ingram. Especially since Kuzma can play the 4.

Brandon Ingram is currently my favorite Laker, and I'm still convinced that he has the highest ceiling on the team. However, I started thinking about players that put up empty numbers and I'm not so sure that BI isn't an empty numbers type of player. I used usage percentage to get an idea of how many opportunities they had, vs. three advanced stats that are related to winning to get an idea of their impact.

Two guys that were clearly empty numbers:

DLO- 26.6 USG% (2nd on the team) but 4th in VORP, 4th in BPM, 12th in win shares per 48 (2nd vs. average of 6.6)

Clarkson- 27.7 USG% (2nd on the team) but 9th in VORP, 11th in BPM, 10th in win shares per 48 (2nd vs. average of 10)

Three guys that clearly impacted winning with their numbers

Lou Williams- 30.6 USG% (1st on the team) and 1st in VORP, 1st in BPM, 1st in win shares per 48 (1st vs. average of 1)

Lonzo Ball- 17.4 USG% (10th on the team) and 2nd in VORP, 2nd in BPM but 16th in win shares per 48 (10th vs. average of 6.6)

Julius Randle- 25.2 USG% (3rd on the team) and 3rd in VORP, 5th in BPM, 3rd in win shares per 48 (3rd vs. average of 3.6)

Brandon Ingram

22.2 USG% (6th on the team) but 8th in VORP, 10th in BMP, 13th in win shares per 48 (6th vs. average of 10.3)

Now this is obviously a really (bleep) way of trying to come to conclusions because I'm not good at math, nor am I some talent evaluator, but for the sake of discussion what do you guys think?

Thanks GT.

My favorite change this year (and part of it is attributed to the skills you mentioned in the vid, and the other parts being pace and body maturity):

2017: Restricted area shots: 124-212 (59%)
2018: Restricted area shots: 199-322 (62%)

while playing 300 less minutes this year than last.

My next video in this series is gonna be about his improvement in getting to and finishing at the rim. His efficiency there improved slightly, but his volume went WAY up, which is even more important, IMO.

My friend who is also a skills trainer is training Brandon Ingram this off-season. Brandon is with him as we speak.

My friend is one of my favorite skills trainers in the country. Last summer he worked with Victor Oladpio.... most improved player.

No. Micah Lancaster. Micah also worked with Kyrie early on.

I can't get you his jock strap but here's a video.

This kid seems like the most focused of our three youngsters. Can't wait to see his improvements next season.
