So if you are trying to replace him at the 4 for defense you're slamming yourself in the foot.
Deng at the 3 is best for this team for what we need from them unless there's an injury. |
Did you watch Deng play in Miami last year ?
After Bosh went out, Deng was much better at the 4 than he was playing the 3 on both ends of the court. |
Deng was not just a lot better at 4 than at 3, but had better stats at 4 than any of our PF and it was not even close.
I still believe the right way to develop young talent is letting the best player play. Fighting for a position makes them grown faster as players than when it's a give based on draft position. |

It is controversial because the numbers posted here showed he was better defensively at the 3 and better offensively at the 4 with Miami. I guess one can choose to ignore the numbers or believe in them, their choice. As we have discussed previously, I think he gets some minor minutes at the 4 but most of his minutes at the 3. At least if we are healthy, and it would be a bummer if we aren't. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

12/5/4/2/2 will be good numbers for a rookie. |

Deng's PER skyrocket at 4, so overall it was a significant improvement. |

He would still have a 7 footer in Mozgov who does some of the same things |

Was pretty damn skeptical of MWP's impact on his supposed underlying Randle, but as wing defenders - I think MWP can impart a lot of tricks of the trade onto Brandon |

For the record, MWP has been working with Brandon in his defense the majority of the time they spend together. |

So yeah, Slim has been killing it on NBA 2K for me-just a beast on both sides of the court. _________________ LeBron, AD, & _________. Stay tuned.

Tend to agree with this statement.
Deng's stats last year reflect his role on that team and system.
On this Lakers team the roster, system and different role trend toward him playing the majority of his mpg at SF IMO. |

If he tightens up his handles, he can be Scottie Pippen as well. The Durant thing was an illusion. I'd be stoked for either Pippen or Kawhi. But lately, I'm more excited at the prospect of him becoming Pippen. |

Yeah. I think Ingram can be that kind of player, especially on defense. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Another lineup deal: With Calderon still out, Ingram will play some PG tonight. Also helps w/ getting Nick Young some minutes |
This will be fun/interesting to watch. He might end up on Harden. |

Who does this remind you of?

This season, I guarantee that...
My team will be better than the past year
Before I retire, the one thing I want to accomplish (besides titles) is...
To create a positive, iconic image of someone who helped educate & build communities
The active player who most influenced my game was...
The whole NBA influenced my game; I wanted to be one of the guys
The most merciless competitor I've ever faced on the court is...
I never look at who I'm going against. When I'm on the floor I want to beat the team. There are no individual goals when I'm on the floor.
Watch out for [BLANK] this year, that guy (who is NOT a teammate) is gonna blow up
I think you will be surprised by some of my teammates, I won't mention any names...

This was from Kahwai Leonard in that GQ article. Sounds like Ingram to me. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Brandon Ingram, Los Angeles Lakers
Before I retire the one thing I want to accomplish (besides titles) is...
Win a MVP
The active player who most influenced my game was...
Kevin Durant
The most merciless competitor I've ever faced on the court is...
Jerry Stackhouse
The hardest guy in the league for me to guard is...
I haven't been in the league yet
