I wonder if Stackhouse ever told Ingram about the time High School Kobe destroyed him.

Coach K on Brandon Ingram: http://www.lakersnation.com/coach-k-on-how-lakers-forward-brandon-ingram-can-adjust-to-nba/2016/10/25/

Quote:
“The adjustment physically in the pros will take a little bit of time. Also, you know, he had the ball. In the pros, a lot of times, you don’t have the ball and you have to do something as soon as you get it. I think that will be an adjustment for him because he could really be a guard. We had him in a position where he could bring it up the court or play against the four. We always tried to take advantage of matchups. I’m not sure that he’ll be afforded that opportunity right away, if ever, in the pros. So there will be a period of adjustment for him, but I think he’ll do fine.”

CLW indicated that Ingram will indeed get some burn at PG!

I anticipate Brandon's perimeter defense to have an impact on the game.
His defense will open up his offense and boost the team's overall effort.

Probably means JC/Nick/Ingram/Nance/Black is the 2nd unit. I was curious on who would get cut out of the rotation, thought it would be between Nick or Lou, but I guess it's Marcelo/JC, at least for now.

Ingram might be primed to go way off vs. Rockets, they are garbage.

Solid debut. Very efficient on both ends. Even with the lack of touches on offense.

The only thing I didn't like about JC in the second half was not being willing (or lacking the vision) to hit the rookie for a few open 3s.

Solid game by Ingram, but the team didn't look for him in the second half.

MDA put Brewer on him to guard him with and without the ball.

That's all you need to know.

I liked what I saw from Ingram overall. Nice game and perhaps my Laker bias is showing but I think he just oozes potential when on the floor. I expect more. He looks like he can deliver more. I have to remind myself to be patient.

Thought he did well when defending Hardin. That was a standout aspect from last nights for me. His length bothered Hardin.

Considering we are talking about a just turned 19yr old rookie in his first professional game. Impressive debut.

My only complaint was I thought he could have been a bit more assertive when he had the ball in his hands. Assuming that will come with more comfort being under the big lights.

He played really well. I trust him more with the ball than most of our PG's.

Nice controlled game from BI on both ends. It's going to be interesting to see what he looks like by the end of the season.

His composure continues to impress me, he seems unfazed out there, playing like a pro, very solid all around player and for all the durant comparasions, i see him more like a kawhi leonard type dude. No reason for him not to be an elite two way player in 2 or three years

It's nice having him with the ball because it allows guys like Clarkson to work off the ball, and be a dominant bench scorer.

Brandon Ingram just might be the Lakers’ perfect replacement for Kobe Bryant

Replacing a living legend can be tough, but L.A. fans should be optimistic about their prize rookie

It was great his first game was against an MDA no D team. Hopefully he can build some real confidence and have a good start to the season.

The best thing about the rookie was the thing he said he would be remember the most was the energy they had on the bench when they were cheering down the stretch
