As a creator, one area Ingram will eventually dominate in (in my opinion) is operating in the mid-post area. He’s just too big and long for most wings to contest there. Ingram has already shown a proclivity in this fashion, registering a 1.00 points per possession efficiency mark on 18 finishing possessions on post-ups this year, good for the 79th percentile per Synergy Sports.
I'd like to see a more active effort to get him shots in that area, but I think his aggression / confidence level will naturally increase as the season goes on.

Ingram is doing this all without the lower body girth to really anchor and either move bodies for better position or dislodge defenders with his body to prevent contests. When (and if) he acquires said girth, he’s going to be a monster in this area.
DLo has only been training for one year, my friend. lol. and that already improved him to this . this is a pretty fricking monster dunk. Give him a couple more years and he may do that consistently

Almost a high flying act
I can never tell with you.
russell got one dunk all year his rookie season counting SL and PS. this season alone he got like 2 or 3. he definitely is more confident and athletic coming to his soph year

Yup.
There are quite a few examples of players gaining athleticism with NBA training, just from what I've noticed in the past couple years
Luke Walton on where Brandon Ingram can get a little better
5:40
Luke Walton: Just being more aggressive, honestly. And we keep telling him, and it's tough, you know, he's a rookie, he's trying to do what the coaches ask, he's trying to run the plays that are being called. But anytime someone picks him up 40 feet from the basket, we want him to, you know, spin off his man, get into the paint, the 'play' at that point is off. And from there, depending on what the defense does, he passes to a teammate, or he finishes around the rim. And, until he does that consistency, other teams are just gonna pick him up full court and try to pressure him.
Sounded very much like a teacher, but yes, he seems to really get it. It's a good thing they are telling Ingram to do this. Now some people don't have to think that Walton is telling Ingram not to be aggressive, it's the opposite. Ingram started to do that in Toronto, then fell off after, and then started it again vs Houston. So we'll see if he builds on that.
whichever scout/gm compared him to Durant should get smack in the head.
Durant could get u buckets. this kid has ways to go.
He's way better defensively than kd was. This is kds best defensive year and bi is right there. Bi can shoot. That will come. He has as good handles as kd had

Mike. Question. All players undergo professional strength training regime once they enter the NBA.
How is it that some improve drastically (Giannis) and some only moderately (Russell) despite the fact that both were underdeveloped physically. How do we discern which category the prospect would fall under? Is it just a luck thingy, or is there legitimate criteria and observation that allows the franchise to make a guided prediction?
All lottery-type players essentially get NBA strength training prior to their rookie season. For some players, it doesn't work well, but it's a way to add draft stock.
It took Giannis 3-4 years.'
Another part? Genes. Guys like KD, Tayshaun, Reggie Miller, KG all stayed skinny, but eventually they were able to compete physically at the NBA level, with some help from measurables (wingspan, standing reach).
It's better for Ingram to go through this route naturally, than to go through Ben Simmons's training (supposedly went from 245lbs to 260lbs), and then getting a broken foot, or Greg Oden going from 245lbs to 270lbs+ and then exploding his knees. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

He's just had NBA training now. He went hard training his legs and he's way more athletic than ever man. He's dunking everywhere, never ever did this before
NBA training..
Pudgy describes Zubac also, though he runs the floor exceptionally well for a big. These guys are so young they haven't burned that baby fat just yet. They'll be monsters when they do.

I meant, dude was nearly 10% body fat at Duke. He's always been a thick guy. I wouldn't necessarily call him as pudgy now. _________________ Resident Car Nut.
