Right now a 15/8/2blk player looks to be realistic in only a few short years. The main question will be how he develops on defense?

He'll always soft hedge/ICE PnRs. Key thing is for him to be efficient on offense and being a legit enough rebounder/rim protector to stay on the floor.

Yep. He needs to become a bigger + on offense then - on PnR defense.

I think he's fine. It's just him getting touches.

If Zubac gets similar minutes to what Ingram has gotten this season what are his numbers and how many more wins do we get?

It doesn't happen. Zubac NEEDED to basically play 2 a days at the NBDL and NBA level to build up his conditioning quickly. Fortunately, he didn't burn out.

Once he got to that conditioning level, he became a consistent enough rim runner end to end, and that helped him get the legit PT.

Zu really wasn't ready for more than spot minutes almost to the exact time Luke started playing him.
I watched him with the Dfenders, and he was really out of shape.

however, next year is shaping up to be pretty interesting with both BI & Zu coming into their own

Skal and Zu should have been top 10 picks based on performance AND potential.

Shame we couldn't nab Skal too.

Just curious.

Given how Zizic is shaping up to be a dominant big in European league, and how Skal is showing ridiculous upside, who is the best prospect amongst them? Funny how Bender was drafted 20-30 slots ahead of them

Love love love his potential skill-set. And I'm not scared of a bad season or two from the physically under developed

He can really handle the ball coast to coast, shooting potential, defensive potential. At 7'1.

Hopefully Luke allows him to touch the floor in the 4th.

I think he's struggled cuz he barely played any minutes for Maccabi Tel Aviv and hasn't adjusted to the NBA game yet. He got a lot of comps to Porzingis but I think it was just the whole tall Euro who can shoot bias. Not very comparable to Porzingis imo

Right, they're not similar in play style at all.

This is why I say he still would go behind guys like Chriss. The NBA, and especially Luke, prefer to have speed out on the court.

We are tanking.

Zu is looking like our best prospect out there. Smart and skilled offensive player, way above average skillset for someone his age, may be a best midrange shooter than our guards he seems to be money from the elbows. Still lacking conditioning, fortunately has a nice soft touch around the basket.

The Darko comp is completely lazy. If you want to trash the kid, at least bring up Nokoloz Tskitishvili.

But dude is younger than Ingram. He deserves just as much patience as BI has gotten.

Just like most 19 years old players. I believe going after fundamentally sound unathletic players in Europe made him unaware of mobile players backdooring him, he should learn better with experience. He is leading us in BLK% by a wide margin, in fact he is one of the best 3 players at this stat from the last 20 years considering his age barely using his left.

I wasn't comparing him to Darko at all. I meant the move to pick him that high reminded me of what the pistons did. I've barely seen the kid play, I have no incentive to trash him, he is PHX problem not ours.

Its obvious, but i noticed that today when Zu tried block Monroe he used his left (no right) hand to this. Its progress.
