The guy has been playing in construction boots and jeans his entire life, now he finally has on basketball shoes and shorts. He's mobile. |

His progress on the defensive end in such a short time is nothing short of amazing. |

Agree with you! Mr 8%! He was getting low in his defensive stance and I saw him with a couple of nice closeouts on guards. Seems much quicker! _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

With Lopez and Bogut? Probably not this year. |

Bogut, it seems, is being used primarily to piss off Randle enough so that when Randle eventually gets in the game he's playing with a crazy chip on his shoulder.
Walton has been bringing Bogut off the bench as a backup center essentially making Randle feel like a third string center, which is mightily contributing to his good play.
Zubac's primary goal right now is to watch and study how Bogut effects the game defensively. He'll get his chance if a trade is made (if he's not included in it). |

Bogut's then earning his salary. |

Zubic would be a better rebounder than Lopez and Bogus..
Put him in Luke... _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |

Zubac with a -53.4 PER....had no idea that was even possible. He is non-guaranteed next season....and I have doubts about him being on the roster |

He looked 'cold' thrown in the garbage time... man, I think the whole team and building wanted him to score, they were looking for him |

If ZU doesn't make 3s, I don't think he'll be much use right now. Maybe his body fills out in his 20s |

first he had to lose weight and body fat to gain agility, now you want him to gain weight (albeit being muscles)? with regular weight training and body maturation he will grow stronger, but that must not be at the expense of speed |

Good game against the midgets of D-League. He has moves but I'm not sure his game will translate well in the nba, no range and slow... Hope I'm wrong... |

It is not talked much, except by those who share their experiences at the games, but Bogut is out there teaching the youngsters. Something we wanted Deng to do too and hoped from Metta once.... _________________ .

Zubac did well last season. No reason to expect he has regressed except for not getting to the floor and establishing the rhythm.
He should still get 5-7 minutes. We are losing anyway, might at least see if he can have some value going forward. _________________ .

Lakers should start Lopez and Randle.
Then have Kuzma in for Lopez.
And then Zubac in for Randle.
Nance falls out of the rotation, which is a shame, but he is the third PF we have behind Kuz/JR and can not play C. He'd have his spot minutes depending on the matchups. _________________ .

I feel like the Lakers see Zubac as a long term project, as it takes big men often years to develop. I could see next year if Randle is our starting center that Zubac is the backup, or he might be used like how Nance has been used (and what GS often does) have Zubac as the nominal starter, play 15 minutes a game, and Randle gets the rest as the bulk minutes center. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions! |

Zubac benefitted playing with DLO.
Zubac cannot play with ZO. Zu is a half court player, and ZO, at least at this point, is a pure transition player.
Zu has struggled everytime on the court with ZO; but hes had much better production when playing with Ennis and Clarkson. _________________ Llluuukkkeee |

Lopez is not exactly a transition player either. He’s been struggling a lot too.
Watching that Zu highlight he’s moving much faster than Lopez and if he can make that 15-20 footer consistently then give the guy some burn. _________________ |

Zu's contact includes a team option for next year, so there's at least a chance he won't be back after this season either.
I like Zu, but he's an old-style center that isn't well matched to the run and gun style the Lakers are trying to implement. They might keep him around as a cheap 3rd string center, but there's probably an equal chance that they don't. _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings
