Happy to see Zubby doing so well, but I’m having difficulty controlling my disdain for those who so quickly kicked him aside. |

Iirc Zubac got mins earlier in the season and looked like straight garbage, not even G league worthy. He looks highly improved since then, but I’m not expecting much out of him. |
He didn’t. Until the end of the year, he played 14 minutes in 7 games and no more than 3 minutes in a game. _________________ .... |

He looks much better athletically. I was kind of shocked how slow and sloppy he looked like in pre season, I'am glad he's feeling better and growing into his man's body. I think he will get noticed next season. |

just let Zu keep getting steady 20mpg until the end of the season and him producing in double figures with high percentage in that time and Lakers are golden for scoring from the bench |

Zubac looks really big and strong out on the floor. He is not backing down from anyone and is imposing his will down low.
The beast is unleashed. Plus he sets great picks and is a really good roll guy.
He is exactly the type of center we need.
Still haven't seen the outside shot but I know it there. |

I think the turning point was that game against OKC when he went toe to toe with Steven Adams and did not back down. Adams got the better of him of course but Zu at least made him feel that he was there. Guys don't get any bigger or more physical than Adams and that performance would have given both Zu and Luke a shot of confidence.
Just quietly Zu is now shooting 70% from the field in February. |

Bogut was our best defender when he was here. He was a good signing and Zu did next to nothing to Garner minutes. He looked terrible until this two game turnaround. Facts. |

Nice to have a center that plays like a center instead of jacking 3 pointers |

Agree but that is more a function of the fact Julius can't shoot so Brook by design has to space the floor in the offense. Zu plays with Kuz so his job is to stay on the block. |

Glad he got his mojo back. Please don’t tell me it’s because of lack of opportunities. Even he said that in his post game interview. He’s playing much better, but don’t get it twisted, he looked like trash in the summer league and beginning of the season. Did not look as nimble and athletic as he does now. Was not getting any boards and getting his shot swatted left and right. So glad he turned it around. Our young core is ridic: kuzma, hart, ball, Ingram, zubac, Randle |

Activity alone, Zu is a much different player than in the summer league or preseason. I thought he had regressed. Maybe he was just hurt, growing into his body or completely out of shape.
Glad to see him now making an impact. |

We need to keep Zu out there with Zo or IT. Watching G-league or just him out there with w/o a pointguard for the Lakers and it's night and day. He gets to the front of the rim, but Zo and IT actually get him the ball for scores. |

To me the lack of strength and stamina from summer league and preseason seemed to be from the drastic reduction in body fat %. |

Couldn't agree anymore. When he got minutes early in the season he looked useless. He's playing a lot better now but he still can't roll to the rim correctly. That, over time should be corrected but I believe it will be on another team. I think he's getting showcased. |

He didn't get any significant minutes early in the season. Where are you guys getting this stuff from? Are you talking about garbage time? |

From the fact that he couldn’t earn significant minutes. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

In the same way JR could not earn significant minutes earlier in the season? JR got to play after a team meeting and Luke changing his mind about his PT. Zu is getting to play after Larry being traded, so Maginka changing Luke's mind for him. How much of this is earning PT and how much Luke reversing himself? |

I'd have loved to have seen Luke actually try Kuzma at the backup 3 and play Nance at the 4 and Zubac at the 5 with the bench.
