Zu looks a lot quicker/explosive, but I don't know how good this level of competition is.

If only the rest of the league was made up of Bosnia-Hernzibobinnains.

Hey watch it

But seriously. he looked engaged and determined on those highlights. Hope he comes back with that same attitude.

I hope Zu is a Laker next season catching pocket passes from Lebron.

lakers just released Thomas Bryant, which means they decided for Zubac and Wagner instead. Good move

Zu is still young. Hope this is the year he figures it out.

I think he offers something different (assuming he stays). With Mo on board TB was a bit redundant.

You’re a little slow out of the gate.

Waiting to see the ink dry and trying to figure out why the Lakers would keep him.

How did you come to that conclusion?

I think people forget Zubac literally just turned 21 in March.

He looks lighter. You can see it around the shoulders and arms. Not buffed out, but definitely lost a bit of baby fat. Looks good there, hope he's gonna step out of perpetual project status next year.

Here's an interesting fact I just learned...

In Ivica Zubac's supposedly horrible, terrible, no-good, very bad 2nd season, he had a higher PER than Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, and Lonzo Ball. In fact, of the players expected to return, his PER last season was second only to Julius Randle.

I go back to something I said earlier. It was more of a "sideways" season, in that he started slow and didn't show the development many had hoped to see. He should definitely still be on notice, but it wasn't an "awful" season once he hit his stride.

I remember Vlade's rookie season as a 21 y/o. He replaced Kareem as a starter and showed some ability, but even he was raw.

After 2 seasons, I get the impression Zubac, although not the same type of player, has as much ability as Vlade did in '89. Zu has the advantage of 2 years of NBA experience, so he knows what to expect and what he needs to work on.
