I think the diet theory is pretty out there, who knows what he eats. We do know that he's training differently, hard workouts can drain your stamina at the beginning of a new regime. The guy has never really worked out before, that's much different than most American players. Be patient, it will pay off. |

True. It's just mindless extrapolation at this point. That being said, stuff like this isn't exactly a good start: https://twitter.com/ivicazubac/status/796511523862552576 |

I agree, it's always better to do well. Have faith, he'll be good again. |

He just said post game he's adjusting to the pace of game, alot faster than Summer League last year. He plans to finish by dunking at rim more and work on speed for small ball. |

Game is just way too fast for him right now to take advantage of anything on the court. Zubac needs to shed 20 pounds |

I know he hasn't looked good, but that is OK. I think he will be fine. The game is obviously called differently, fouls are abundant (especially hacks down low, players are always fresh (also young/hungry), and the play is fast in the Summer League. |

Those that gave up on him already, do us all a favor and don't jump back on during the regular season when/if he starts playing well again.
Another thing, is that he apparently also just lost his grandfather. So if you're wondering why his mind doesn't seem to be at Summer League that's something else to consider. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

That would explain a lot. His mind looks elsewhere.

Thanks for the info MJST. You are 100% correct. Many will jump back on the Zu bandwagon just like many are already on the Magic bandwagon. He proved his worth the end of last season when he was really balling. I guess that a couple of Summer League games washes away his body of work from last year (when he was getting playing time). The kid is already a solid back up big. |

Zu is a great kid. Great sense of humor. Lakers were his favorite team growing up. He was so excited to be drafted by the Lakers. Last summer he was a fan favorite and played well in summer league. He's still very young. I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now. I want to see how he performs in the pre season games. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Didn't know that.
Losing his grandfather, not playing for Croatia... It explains a lot.
He'll get his (bleep) together. I have faith on this kid.
He loves to be a Laker. |

He's adding more strength. He's been told to start going strong to the hoop but he's not there yet. Virtually every time he was near the rim last year he'd head fake, or step back. It's a big transition, one that's necessary, but requires a man's strength. Summer League is where you need to work on new things. Be patient, he'll be very good one day. |

I hate to pile on a good kid, zu's skill set does not translate well with our new point guard. He has 3 obvious disadvantages which most know. But he must become more aggressive. I can really see a trade involving zubac and nance for a 1st round pick in 2018 or another shooter depending on how fast Kuzma develops. |

I have tried to be patient with Zubac this summer, but he is damn near unplayable at this point in SL. I think this year in the NBA there is going to be a bigger shift in playing five out, and guys like Randle and Nance will be seeing the most minutes as backup center. It appears "small ball" will be around for a while longer and may have not even peaked. |

You need someone who can set decent screens in this offense, though. Why his hands have been so bad seems entirely mental. He wasn't that way last season. |
